We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is facing a critical heart surgery after enduring a difficult journey with his health. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and holds our very breath in Your hands. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon him as he goes into this surgery. Guide the hands of the surgeons, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Heavenly Father, we pray for calm and confidence to fill his spirit as he prepares for this procedure. Let him rest in the assurance that You are with him, even in the valley of the shadow of death, and that Your rod and Your staff comfort him. We also lift up his family, asking that You would surround them with Your love and strength. Give them patience, unity, and trust in Your sovereign plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
Lord, we ask for a smooth surgery and a swift recovery. Sustain him in the hospital, and let Your presence be tangible to him and his loved ones during this time. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed, and we stand on Your promises of restoration and wholeness.
We must also gently address a concern in this request. While we understand the urgency and emotion behind this plea, we noticed that the name of Jesus was not mentioned. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. If this dear one or his family does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that this time of trial would draw them to Him. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name given to mankind by which we must be saved. We encourage them to call on the name of the Lord, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Father, we trust You with this life and this surgery. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
