We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up each of these precious concerns to our Heavenly Father, who hears the cries of His children. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10).
Father God, we lift up this family to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician and the One who holds all things together. We pray for the healing of the youngest daughter and the mother, asking that You would touch their bodies with Your restoring power. Your Word declares, *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:14-15). We claim this promise over them, trusting that You will work mightily in their lives.
For the oldest daughter, who is seeking employment in her field, we ask for Your divine favor and provision. Lord, You know the plans You have for her—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Open doors that no man can shut, and guide her steps to the right opportunity. We pray that she would trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
For the safety of this family’s home and their travels, especially in this icy weather, we declare Your protection over them. *"The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and delivers them"* (Psalm 34:7). We ask that You would send Your angels to guard them on the roads and keep their home secure from all harm.
For the healing of the right eye, we cry out to You, Lord. You are the One who formed our inward parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We ask for Your healing touch, that this rare condition would be reversed by Your power. Give wisdom to the doctors and clarity of vision so that this dear one can continue to work with accuracy and confidence. *"By His stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise today.
We also take a moment to rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be creeping into this family’s hearts. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this family will not be overcome by fear but will walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You through these trials. May they find their strength in You, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We pray for unity, encouragement, and perseverance as they wait on You. May they be like trees planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in season and prospering in all they do (Psalm 1:3).
We commit all these requests to You, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
