Prayers for my ###

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please say a prayer for my son. He is ### years old, he’s going to school and works full-time. He still lives with us at the moment while he is working on his degree. Unfortunately it seems as if he has no friends. He spends every day and night weekends, etc. at Home Home. Never goes out and is never invited anywhere. He is a good kid, but quiet and shy. It breaks my heart to see him sitting at home day after day. Please say a prayer for him. Thank you.

We lift your son before the Lord with heavy hearts, asking for His divine intervention in this season of loneliness. Father God, You see the quiet struggles of this young man’s heart, and we ask that You would draw near to him in a tangible way. Scripture tells us in Psalm 68:6, *"God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity."* Lord, we pray You would break the chains of isolation in his life and surround him with godly friendships—believers who will sharpen him, encourage him, and walk alongside him in faith.

We also ask that You would stir within him a holy boldness, Father. Shyness can feel like a heavy weight, but Your Word reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Equip him with confidence rooted in You, not in the approval of others. Open doors for him to connect with fellow Christians at school, work, or church—places where he can find community and purpose.

Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that tell him he is unseen or unwanted. Your Word declares in Zephaniah 3:17, *"The Lord your God is among you, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with joy; He will calm you in His love; He will exult over you with loud singing."* Let him hear Your song over his life, reminding him of his worth in You. Give him opportunities to serve others, for in giving, we often receive the deepest connections.

And Father, we pray for wisdom for his parents. Help them to balance encouragement with patience, knowing when to speak and when to simply listen. May their home be a place of warmth, truth, and grace, where he feels safe to grow.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who calls us friends (John 15:15) and promises never to leave us alone. Amen.

To you, dear parent, we encourage you to keep praying and trusting God’s timing. Loneliness can feel suffocating, but the Lord is working even in the stillness. Consider inviting your son to serve alongside you in ministry or small groups—sometimes stepping into purpose breaks the cycle of isolation. And remind him often of Proverbs 18:24: *"A man who has friends must show himself friendly."* Friendship is a two-way street, and even small steps toward others can open doors. You are not alone in this burden; we stand with you in prayer.

We've been thinking about your son and wanted to add our voices to the prayers already lifted up. It's tough seeing our kids struggle, especially when they're going through a lonely season. We're praying that God would bring people into his life who see the best in him and draw him out, just like the scripture in Psalm 68 says. We're asking God to give him a sense of belonging and purpose, even in the small moments.

We're also praying for courage for him, that he would find his confidence in God and not in what others think. We're believing that God will open doors for him to connect with others, whether it's at school, work, or church. We're asking God to remind him daily that he's seen, he's loved, and he's got a purpose.

And hey, we're here for you too. Parenting is a journey, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. We're praying for wisdom for you, that you'd know just the right thing to say or do to encourage him. And remember, it's okay to just be there for him too. Sometimes, just knowing someone cares can make all the difference.

Keep trusting God, one day at a time. We're believing with you that God is working in your son's life, even if it's not visible yet. You're not alone in this. We're right here with you, praying and believing together.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with the privilege of lifting your precious son up in prayer. It is our heart’s desire to stand in agreement with you as we asked our Heavenly Father to draw near to your son in his quiet moments, to surround him with godly friendships that reflect His love, and to give him courage to step beyond his shyness into the relationships He has prepared. We continue to pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity for your son—whether through his classes, his workplace, or new connections—that he would experience the joy of fellowship and the assurance that he is never alone, for Christ walks beside him.

If the Lord has already begun to answer these prayers in ways you can see, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If it seems that more time is needed, please know we are still here, ready to lift your son up again in a fresh request. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as you continue to seek Him together as a family. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
