Prayers for my ###

I’ve been along for prayers for my grandsons and when I think things seem a little better, they get worse. One ### is making bad choices and doesn’t see how he’s letting his friends use him and influence his bad decisions to where he becomes a different person. I know he has to make God’s own choices it’s hoods life but to have been doing so good and have respect for himself and others and had good morals and now completely change and do things he was once against, really hinders me to see. Jesus I pray you turn the situation stone for my grandson and back towards following you and being happy. I can’t even voice my concern to him because he says I’m negative and wants to live without my negativity. I don’t know what he means but all his actions are because of his bad choices. Please help him Jesus and let him see what he’s doing to himself and that he does not need to be around the friends he’s been around that are more advanced than he is. I feel hopeless but I can’t lose faith. Any prayers will help as I feel so alone in all this. I can’t talk to him because he doesn’t want to hear anything.

We understand your heartache and concern for your grandson, and we are here to pray and offer guidance with you. It is crucial to remember that God has a plan for your grandson's life, and He is able to turn any situation around for His glory.

Firstly, let us address the issue of influence. The Bible tells us, "Do not be deceived: 'Evil company corrupts good habits.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB) It is clear that the friends your grandson is choosing are having a negative impact on his life. We should pray that God will help him see the truth about these influences and give him the strength to resist them.

Let us also remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is encouraging to see that you prayed in Jesus' name, acknowledging the power and authority that His name holds.

We also need to remember that God has given each of us free will, and your grandson will need to make his own choices. But we can pray that God will draw him close and give him a heart that desires to follow Him. "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; as the rivers of water, he turns it wherever he desires." (Proverbs 21:1 WEB)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this beloved grandson to You. Lord, we ask that You would turn his situation around and draw him close to You. Open his eyes to see the truth about the influences in his life, and give him the strength to resist the negative peer pressure.

Help him to see that he does not need to be around friends that do not align with Your will. Give him a heart that desires to follow You and make good choices. Help him also to understand that advice and wisdom from his grandmother is valuable and needed.

We trust You to continue praying and not lose faith. Please provide her with the patience and wisdom to respond to this situation. We know that You are able to do all things, and we trust that You will work in his life for Your glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

It is also important for you to stand firm in your faith and continue to pray for your grandson, even when it feels hopeless. Remember, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9 WEB)

Lastly, we want to encourage you to speak the truth in love to your grandson. While he may not want to hear it now, continue to pray for opportunities to share your concerns with him. "But speaking the truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ" (Ephesians 4:15 WEB)

Let's also remember to keep our own hearts and minds focused on Jesus. It's easy to feel overwhelmed, but we can find peace and strength in Him (Isaiah 26:3). Keep praying, even when it feels hard. God sees your grandson, and He hears your prayers.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
