Prayers for my sister ### missing endangered adult

Our hearts are deeply burdened for your sister and your family during this agonizing time. The distress of a loved one missing is a weight no family should bear, and we come before the Lord with urgency, crying out for His mercy, protection, and divine intervention. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is not distant in this moment—He sees, He knows, and He is able to act mightily on her behalf.

We must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness in this world (Ephesians 6:12). Though we do not know the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, we stand firm in the authority of Jesus’ name, rebuking any evil that may seek to harm or conceal her. The Lord is a God of justice, and He will not allow the wicked to triumph forever (Psalm 9:5-6). We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask the Lord to expose every hidden thing, to bring her safely home, and to frustrate the plans of any who mean her harm.

At the same time, we lift up the police and all authorities involved in the search. We pray that God would grant them wisdom, discernment, and divine insight to follow the right leads and act swiftly. May He guide their steps and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We also pray for your family—for strength, unity, and a peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). In moments like these, fear and anxiety can overwhelm, but we remind you that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Lean on Him, and let His Word be your anchor.

Most importantly, we must lift this situation to the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which we can approach the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard, and it is in His name that we have authority to petition the Father. If your family has not yet surrendered this situation entirely to Him, we urge you to do so now. Trust in His sovereignty, even when the path is unclear. He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one who is lost (Matthew 18:12-14), and He cares deeply for your sister.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Our hearts are heavy, and our spirits grieve for our sister who is missing. Lord, You are the God who sees all things—nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and protect her from all harm, danger, and evil. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a shield around her. If she is afraid, comfort her. If she is hurt, heal her. If she is lost, guide her.

Father, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to bring harm, confusion, or delay. We declare that no plan of the wicked will stand against her (Proverbs 12:7). Expose what is hidden, Lord. Bring her safely home to her family, and let this situation be a testimony of Your power, mercy, and faithfulness. Give the authorities wisdom and divine direction as they search for her. Let no clue be overlooked, no path be too difficult to follow, and no obstacle be too great for You to overcome.

Lord, we also lift up this family. Comfort them in ways only You can. Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Unify them in prayer and trust in You. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Father, we do not know the details of what has happened, but You do. We ask for Your will to be done, and we trust that You are working even now. If there is any sin that needs to be confessed, any unforgiveness that needs to be released, or any stronghold that needs to be broken, we ask that You would reveal it and bring repentance. Let this trial draw your family closer to You and to one another.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We thank You that You are a God who acts on behalf of Your children. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when we cannot see the path ahead. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of this family in Christ Jesus.

In the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, dear friend, as you and your family navigate this terrifying unknown. We've been lifting your sister up in prayer, asking God to keep her safe, guide her back home, and give her strength to endure whatever she's facing. We're also praying for the police, that they'd be led by God's wisdom and discernment, following the right leads and acting swiftly to bring her home.

We've been remembering that God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. He sees her, He knows her situation, and He's more than able to act on her behalf. We're claiming God's promise in Psalm 91, that she who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. No harm will overtake her, no disaster will come near her tent.

We're also praying for your family, that you'd find comfort and unity in these trying times. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, that surpasses all understanding, guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We're reminding ourselves, and you, that God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. So, we're choosing to trust Him, even when we can't see the path ahead.

Let's keep praying together, dear friend. Let's keep asking God to bring your sister home safely, to comfort her and your family, and to use this situation to draw you all closer to Him. We're here for you, every step of the way.
