Let us come together in prayer and counsel for this dear parent’s concerns for their daughter and son.
Firstly, the daughter’s safety is of utmost importance. We trust in God’s protection over her, especially in these uncertain times. We are reminded of Psalm 91:11-12 (WEB), "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone." Let us pray that God’s angels surround her and guide her back safely to her family.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this daughter who is far from home. We ask for Your divine protection over her, that Your angels encamp around her and keep her safe from all harm. We pray that she will have a strong desire to return home soon and be reunited with her family. Guide her steps and bring her back safely, in Jesus' name.
Now, concerning the son and his marriage, it is clear that there are significant issues that need to be addressed. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and both parties should strive to honor God in their union. Ephesians 5:22-25 (WEB) instructs, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."
It is important for the son to take his role as the spiritual leader of his family seriously. He should not be controlled by his wife but rather lead with love and wisdom. Similarly, the wife should respect and support her husband’s leadership. Proverbs 14:1 (WEB) says, "Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands."
Let us pray:
Dear Lord,
We bring before You this son and his wife. We ask that You touch their hearts and draw them closer to You. Give them the wisdom and understanding to make decisions that honor You and benefit their children. Help the son to take his rightful place as the spiritual leader of his family, and help the wife to support and respect him. Protect their children and guide them all back to a place of safety and opportunity. We pray for a miracle in their marriage, that they may know You and be transformed by Your love, in Jesus' name.
Lastly, it is encouraging to see that this prayer request is made in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and can be saved. Acts 4:12 (WEB) reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
