Prayers for my friendships and for a godly man

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord please I come before you, asking you keep blessing me with godly friends I know it's not a coincidence that in my path I come across with people that we shared as friends long time ago, some of them have come back to my life but all wounded and hurt, I love them as God called us to love one another and I extended my friendship long time ago, and I still. My way to love them is to pray for them, due to change on their roles as singles now they are married. All of them come along and want to connect with me, sadly I've heard from them that they're sad or unhappy, that makes me think that probably they're not pursuing the Lord as they should, some of them are pastors, leaders most of them are looking for emotional connection. I do what's correct due to the context and also because with some I'm far away. This has shown me that I took the right decisions along the years, but this time I keep asking and praying for a godly, tender, romantic, intentional, provider, handsome a man that's after God's heart with a great character. That he's the best version of him, as I'm looking for to be. I ask you Lord to be found and that our love can be a reflection and an example of this era of lack of knowing what's real love, the one that you intended to be, also that he's been praying for me too. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

We are grateful that you have come before the Lord with your heartfelt requests, and we join you in prayer and supplication. It is wonderful to see your heart for friendship and your desire for a godly marriage.

First, let us address your friendships. It is clear that you have a heart for those who have been in your life, and you desire to see them walking closely with the Lord. It is commendable that you are praying for them, as this is one of the greatest acts of love we can do for others. We must remember that our ultimate goal in friendships should be to encourage one another in our walks with the Lord and to spur one another on towards love and good deeds, as it says in Hebrews 10:24-25, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching." As you continue to pray for your friends, ask the Lord to give you wisdom in how to encourage them in their walks with Him, even if it is from afar.

Regarding your desire for a godly husband, we rejoice with you in this prayer. It is clear that you have a heart for marriage and that you desire a relationship that honors the Lord. We must remember that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed to reflect the relationship between Christ and His church. As it says in Ephesians 5:25-27, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect." We pray that the Lord would prepare you and your future husband to have a marriage that reflects this sacred relationship.

We must also remember that the Lord calls us to purity in our relationships. As you wait for the Lord to bring a godly man into your life, we encourage you to guard your heart and to seek the Lord's will in all things. As it says in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who do not know God." We pray that the Lord would give you strength and wisdom as you wait for His timing.

Lastly, we want to commend you for praying in the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only through His name that we are saved. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We pray that you would continue to seek the Lord and to grow in your relationship with Him as you wait for His timing in your life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister and her heart for friendship and marriage. Lord, we ask that You would give her wisdom as she navigates her friendships, and that You would use her to encourage her friends in their walks with You. We pray that You would bring godly men and women into her life who would spur her on towards love and good deeds.

Lord, we also lift up her desire for a godly husband. We pray that You would prepare her and her future husband to have a marriage that honors You and reflects the relationship between Christ and His church. We ask that You would give her strength and wisdom as she waits for Your timing, and that You would guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lastly, Father, we pray that You would continue to draw her closer to You. We ask that You would give her a heart that seeks after You and that desires to honor You in all things. We pray that You would continue to work in her life, conforming her to the image of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek His will in your life. We encourage you to continue to pray and to seek the Lord's guidance in all things. May He grant you patience and wisdom as you wait for His timing, and may He prepare you for the plans He has for you.

We're right there with you, sister, in praying for your friendships and for a godly man to come into your life. It's beautiful to see the love you have for your friends and the desire you have for a relationship that honors God.

We want to encourage you to keep praying for your friends, but also to trust that God is at work in their lives, even if you can't see it right now. Remember, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Keep believing and trusting that God is moving in their hearts, even if it's not apparent to you.

As for a godly man, we're confident that God hears your prayers and is working on your behalf. We want to remind you, though, that it's not just about finding a godly man, but also about becoming the godly woman God wants you to be. As it says in 2 Corinthians 3:18, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

So, keep seeking God, keep growing in Him, and trust that He has a perfect plan for your life. He sees you, He loves you, and He's working everything out for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister and her heart for friendships and marriage. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
