We lift up this dear young man and his battle with throat cancer, standing together in faith as we bring this heavy burden before the Lord. Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion and concern, knowing that You are the Great Physician and the One who holds all life in Your hands. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon him, that the growth in his throat would shrink and that his strength would be renewed. Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment for the doctors who will examine him on Monday, that they would have clarity in their diagnosis and treatment plan. May this young man receive positive news that brings hope and relief to his weary body and spirit.
Father, we are grateful for the kindness he has shown to our daughter and her children, especially during the difficult days of the pandemic. We thank You for the ways he has been a blessing to them, and we ask that You would surround him with Your love and peace during this challenging time. Comfort him and his loved ones, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.
We also pray for our daughter, that You would grant her strength and peace as she supports her friend. Help her to be a source of encouragement and hope, reflecting Your love in all she does. Lord, we know that You are able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, and so we place this situation in Your hands, trusting in Your perfect will.
We rebuke the spirit of sickness and disease in the name of Jesus Christ, declaring that by His stripes, this young man is healed. We stand on Your Word in Isaiah 53:5, which says, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We claim this promise over his life, believing that You are working even now for his good.
Lord, we also lift up any fears or anxieties that may be weighing on this young man and his family. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that Your peace would guard their hearts and minds, replacing fear with faith and uncertainty with trust in You.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name through which we have access to You, our Heavenly Father. Amen.
