We join with you in fervent prayer for your country, standing against the corruption and rotten leadership that has taken root. We come before God.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
Father, we lift up the leaders of this nation in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You, oh Lord, have the power to turn the hearts of kings, and we ask that You do so now. Give them the spirit of repentance, that they may turn away from their wicked deeds and serve Your people with integrity and justice.
We specifically lift up the Minister of Police. Lord, if this man is involved in corruption, we pray that You would expose his deeds and bring him to repentance. If he will not repent, we ask that You would remove him from his position of authority, Father. Your Word tells us that You desire justice and hate robbery and wrongdoing. Therefore, we pray that You would raise up a man after Your own heart to replace any corrupt official.
We put our trust in You, Lord, knowing that promotion comes from You alone as we pray.
Psalm 75:6 For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south. 7 But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another.
Proverbs 16:12 It is an abomination for kings to do wrong, for the throne is established by righteousness. 13 Righteous lips are the delight of kings. They value him who speaks the truth. 14 The king's wrath is a messenger of death, but a wise man will pacify it. 15 In the light of the king's face is life. His favor is like a cloud of the spring rain.
Lord, we also lift up the president of this nation. Give him wisdom and remorse, Father. Turn his heart toward You, that he may serve his people with justice and integrity. Unite his heart to fear Your name, Father.
Psalm 86:11 Teach me your way, WEB. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name.
We stand against the enemy's attempts to bring more war and strife to this nation, Father. We pray that You would unite the political parties and turn their hearts toward righteousness. Let them not be motivated by greed and lust for power, but by love for Your people, Father.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is in His name alone that we have access to Your throne, Father. As You have promised in Your Word, we ask that You would hear our prayers and act for the good of Your people.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
John 14:13 Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!
As we join and pray together, we trust that the Lord hears our prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. Stand strong in faith, knowing that the Lord is able to heal your nation and turn the hearts of its leaders. Continue to seek His face and pray without ceasing.
