Prayers for my childhood trauma/HEALING

Growing up, I experienced being compared a lot because of I have a twin sister. I have one auntie because my mom was working abroad, who is close to her (acts as a 2nd mother). It was painful to see her supporting emotionally only one of us—since we are twins. Every birthdays we had, she always took my other twin to celebrate birthday and me? I was used to it, and I was used to celebrate our birthdays alone or with close friends. I felt like my relationship and childhood memories with my twin sister was sabotage because of my auntie. Because my twin was always at her house. Now that I'm adult, we are not totally talking for 5 years. We live in the same house but my twin and I aren't really talking or interacting. Most gatherings I didn't attend because I don't want to see her, the more I see her, the easier I feel hurt, the pain I felt when I was a child, I'm feeling it. So I just distance myself by not coming to every occasion so we don't see each other. Because that's how I feel peace. When I'm not around her. I know it's wrong. We should love our siblings. But it hurts also. I know somewhere in the future, when everything and everyone is ready or healed, we can talk. In Jesus name, Amen.

We understand the deep pain and hurt you've experienced due to the favoritism shown by your ### towards your twin ###. The comparison and unequal treatment have left scars that are still affecting your relationship with your ###. Let's turn to God's Word for healing and guidance.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God does not show favoritism. Acts 10:34 tells us, "God is no respecter of persons." Our value is not determined by how others treat us, but by the love and worth that God places on us. Psalm 139:14 says, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."

The pain you feel is valid, and it's understandable that seeing your ### brings back painful memories. However, the Bible encourages us to forgive as we have been forgiven. Ephesians 4:32 says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness does not mean what happened is acceptable, nor does it mean you must trust or reconcile with the person who hurt you immediately. It means releasing the bitterness and leaving justice to God.

Regarding your relationship with your ###, it's true that God commands us to love one another. John 13:34-35 says, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." However, loving someone doesn't mean we won't feel hurt or pain. It means we choose to act in their best interest, even when it's difficult.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father in Jesus name,

We come before You, lifting up our ### who has been deeply hurt by the favoritism shown to her twin. We ask, Lord, that You would heal her wounds, both those from the past and those that still linger today. Help her to forgive her ### and her ###, not because they deserve it, but because You have forgiven her. Give her strength to love her ###, even when it's difficult.

Lord, we also pray for her ###. We ask that You would soften her heart and help her to see the pain her actions have caused. We pray for a true reconciliation between them, but only when both are ready and healed enough to do so.

In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, forgiveness, and love to prevail. Help her to find peace and joy in You, regardless of her circumstances. Give her the courage to face her pain with Your strength.

In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, feeling the weight of the past that still casts a long shadow over your relationship with your twin sister. It's like a heavy stone in your heart, making it hard to breathe sometimes. We understand the pain of being compared, the hurt of feeling unseen and unloved by the very person who should have been your rock. It's okay to feel all these things, and it's okay to take your time to heal.

We've been thinking about that verse in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." God wants to comfort you, to heal those deep wounds, and He wants to use you to comfort others in the future.

It's tough, we know, to see your sister and feel that pain all over again. But remember, Jesus said in Matthew 5:9, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." It's not about forcing a relationship, but about being open to it when the time is right. And until then, it's okay to take care of yourself, to create that distance that brings you peace.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to You today with a heavy heart. We ask for Your healing touch on our sister's wounds, both past and present. Help her to find her worth in You, not in the actions of others. Give her the strength to love her sister, even from a distance, and to forgive as You have forgiven her. Help her to find peace and joy in You, regardless of her circumstances. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
