Disciple of Prayer
Asking for prayers for my brother. When he finished college and had no money and no place to go, my husband and I took him in. He paid the minimum on bills and when we had children he helped out with their schedules. My mother is very sensitive and each time I mention he is old enough to be on his own she gets upset and thinks he will fail on his own. So I drop the subject. Now 14 years later, he is still with us. I feel like the only way my mother will accept my asking him to move out would be if he can show financial responsibility. His job is not high paying but also not low paying. I just need room for my children and want some privacy. I love my brother and want him to be independent. I advocate tough love but my mother does not and I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings. In a tough pickle here. I will also ask for prayers for my mother. She means well but doesn't understand how it is affecting my family even though I explain to her. Thanks in advance for your prayers!
