We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is battling pneumonia. The persistence of her illness weighs on us, but we know that our God is greater than any sickness or diagnosis. The Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that the same God who spoke the world into existence can speak healing into her body.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this precious woman. We rebuke this pneumonia in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding it to leave her body and not return. Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and medical professionals attending to her, giving them wisdom beyond their own understanding. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind as she endures this trial.
We also pray for strength and comfort for her husband, the pastor, and their family. May they feel Your presence surrounding them, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lord, we ask that You would use this situation to draw them closer to You and to one another, deepening their trust in Your perfect will.
We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life over her body, mind, and spirit, believing that she will rise up in full health to continue the work You have called her to do. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to Your promises. We trust in You, knowing that Your plans for her are for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
May this trial be an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed, and may many come to know You more deeply through her testimony of healing. We give You all the praise and honor, for You alone are worthy. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
