We lift you up before the Lord, dear sister, and we are grateful that you have brought your burdens to Him in the name of Jesus. It is through His mighty name alone that we have access to the Father, and we rejoice that you have acknowledged this truth in your prayer. Let us first address your physical afflictions, for our God is Jehova-Rapha, the Lord who heals.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over you, asking the Lord to touch your body and bring relief from the sinus headaches and joint pain that have been plaguing you. May His healing power flow through you, restoring you to full health and strength. We also pray that you would seek wisdom in caring for your body, for it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). This includes proper rest, nourishment, and medical care as the Lord leads.
Now, we must address a matter of great importance with love and urgency. You mentioned concern about an IUD not falling out. Sister, we must speak the truth in love: the use of an IUD—or any form of birth control that may prevent the implantation of a fertilized egg—is not aligned with the sanctity of life that Scripture upholds. Psalm 139:13-16 declares, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My bones were not hidden from you when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* Life is precious to the Lord from the very moment of conception, and we must treat it as such.
We strongly encourage you to prayerfully consider removing this device and trusting the Lord with your fertility. If you are not in a position to conceive—whether due to being unmarried or for other reasons—we urge you to seek godly alternatives that do not interfere with the potential for life. The Lord calls us to steward our bodies in ways that honor Him, and this includes how we approach family planning. If you are unmarried, we also encourage you to embrace the season of singleness as a time to seek the Lord wholeheartedly, trusting Him with your future, including the desire for marriage and family.
We also note your mention of worry, and we gently remind you of Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:25-34, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* Worry is a burden the Lord never intended for you to carry. Cast these cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust in His sovereignty, knowing that He holds all things in His hands.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her physical pain and worries to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch her body and bring healing to her sinuses and joints. Relieve her of this pain, Lord, and restore her strength. We pray that she would feel Your healing hand upon her and know that You are her Comforter.
Father, we also bring before You the matter of the IUD. Convict her heart, Lord, and grant her the courage to remove this device, trusting You with her body and her future. Help her to see the sacredness of life and to honor You in all things, including how she stewards her fertility. If she is unmarried, Lord, we pray that You would guard her heart and her body, keeping her pure and set apart for the husband You may have for her. Give her wisdom and discernment in this area, and surround her with godly counsel.
We rebuke the spirit of worry that has taken hold of her thoughts. Lord, replace her anxiety with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Help her to fix her eyes on You, knowing that You are in control and that Your plans for her are good. Remind her that You are her Provider, her Protector, and her Peace.
Finally, Father, we thank You that she has placed her trust in You. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and draw her closer to You in this season. May she experience Your presence in a mighty way and walk in the confidence that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Sister, we encourage you to spend time in the Word and in prayer, seeking the Lord’s will in all things. If you are struggling with worry or the decisions before you, we urge you to reach out to a mature believer or pastor for guidance and support. You are not alone—the body of Christ is here to walk with you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek Him.
