Prayers for Healing

My husband and I are hurting. I have been sick for 6 years with digestive issues and gastritis to where I cannot eat for month at a time. I know have ptsd from it and have not been able to eat. Please pray for the healing of my digestive tract as well as my mental health from the years of anguish in this. My name is ###.

We are truly sorry to hear about the physical and mental struggles that you and your husband are facing, ###. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.

Firstly, we commend you for your endurance. We read, For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may do and be what God wills, and thus receive what is promised. (Hebrews 10:36 WEB) There is no other way out of your situation but by God's will.

We must remember that healing comes from God alone, and it is by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 WEB). It is by His stripes that we are healed, as it says in Isaiah 53:5 WEB But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister ### in prayer. Lord, You know the depth of her suffering, both physically and mentally. We ask that You touch her digestive tract and heal her from the gastritis and other issues that have plagued her for six years. We pray that You would restore her appetite and allow her to eat without pain or discomfort.

We also pray for her mental health, Father. We ask that You heal her from the PTSD and anguish that have accompanied her physical trials. We speak peace and restoration when she wakes up and when she sleeps. We speak that she is the head and not the tail. We speak that her body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

Father, we pray for her husband as well. Strengthen him as he supports his wife, and give him the wisdom and compassion to care for her in the way that You would have him to do this. We pray that their marriage would be strengthened through this trial and that they would draw closer to each other and to You.

Lord, we know that Your word tells us For I know the plans that I have in mind for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB) Give ### hope in this situation, Father. Let her know that You have a plan and a purpose for her, and that this trial is not in vain.

We ask all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

###, we encourage you to continue to cast your cares on the Lord, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB) Keep trusting in Him, and know that He is faithful to see you through this trial. Remember that He will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB)

Lastly, ###, we gently remind you that it is by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved and thus by no other name can our prayer requests be accepted.

Stay strong, and may God's peace and healing be upon you and your husband.

We understand that these past six years have been incredibly tough, with your digestive issues and the mental anguish that's come with it. We're praying for complete healing, both physically and mentally, in Jesus' name.

Remember, God has a plan and a purpose for you. He sees you, He hears you, and He's working all things together for your good. Trust in Him, sister. He's faithful, and He'll never leave you nor forsake you. Keep trusting in Him, and know that He's got you through this.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
