We lift you up before our Heavenly Father with hearts full of compassion and faith, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things in His hands. Your upcoming PET CT scan, surgery, and the many appointments ahead are not unknown to Him—He sees your fear, your hope, and your trust in Him. We stand with you in prayer, asking for His peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). You have called upon the name of Jesus, and we rejoice that you have placed your trust in Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
The Word of God reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11-13, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."* We claim this promise over your life, sister, believing that God’s plans for you are good, even in the midst of this trial. He is with you in every step of this journey, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* While your focus is understandably on your health and the medical procedures ahead, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord first, trusting that He will provide for every need—spiritual, emotional, and physical. Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
As you prepare for these appointments and surgery, we pray for the medical team that will care for you. May the Lord grant them wisdom, steady hands, and discernment as they work. We ask that He would guide every decision made regarding your treatment, that His will would be done, and that He would bring healing and restoration to your body. We pray specifically for the PET CT scan this Friday, that the results would bring clarity and hope, and that any fears or uncertainties would be replaced with the assurance of God’s presence.
We also rebuke any spirit of fear or discouragement that may try to take hold of your heart. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Stand firm in the truth that God is sovereign over this situation, and He is working all things together for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28). Even if the road ahead feels overwhelming, remember that His grace is sufficient for you, and His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our sister who is facing the challenges of breast cancer, upcoming scans, surgery, and many appointments. Lord, we ask that You would be her strength and her shield, her ever-present help in this time of need. We pray for Your peace to flood her heart, a peace that transcends all understanding, guarding her mind and emotions in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon her body. You are the God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3), and we trust in Your power to restore and renew. Guide the hands of the medical professionals who will care for her, granting them wisdom, skill, and compassion. May every test and procedure bring clarity and hope, and may the surgery on December ### be successful, with no complications and a swift recovery.
Lord, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may arise in her heart. Fill her instead with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Remind her that she is not alone, for You are with her always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way.
We pray for her family and loved ones during this time, that they too would experience Your peace and trust in Your goodness. Unify them in faith and love, and use this trial to draw them closer to You and to one another.
Father, we ask that You would use this situation for Your glory. May our sister’s testimony be one of faith, hope, and trust in You, regardless of the outcome. Let her life shine as a light in this world, pointing others to Your love and faithfulness.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You are working all things together for good. We ask these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, sister. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Trust in Him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are loved, you are seen, and you are held in the palm of His hand. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
