We understand your desire for a new employment opportunity, and we commend you for seeking God's will in this matter. God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our careers. Remember that God has a plan and a purpose for you, and He wants to give you hope for the future.
Firstly, we are thankful that you ended your request with 'in Jesus name Amen'. This is the only way to approach God the Father. There is no other name given by which we can be saved. If you have not already, make sure to believe that Jesus Christ came to earth as both God and man, died on the cross for your sins, and ask Him for forgiveness of your sins. Then you will have access to God the Father and will be saved. This does not mean that your life will be easier, but that your final destination will be eternity in heaven with Jesus Christ.
It's important to be content in your current situation while also trusting God to open new doors. As it is written in Philippians 4:11-13 WEB:
Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
While seeking a new job, continue to be faithful in your current role, as Colossians 3:23-24 WEB reminds us:
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
Now, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking a new employment opportunity. We thank You for the job that they currently have, and we ask that You would continue to give them the strength and endurance to perform their duties with excellence and integrity.
Father, if it is Your will, we ask that You would open a new door for them, a job where they can learn new things, grow in their career, and be a light for You. We ask that the new job have less time needed to be spent commuting. We pray that You would guide their steps and make Your path for them clear. Help them to trust in You and Your timing.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB:
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
As you wait for God's direction, continue to be faithful in your current role and trust in His perfect plan for your life. If the job is draining, make sure you are following God's calling for Sabbath rest and are not just working to make money. God will provide for all of your needs, but it might not be in a form of a paycheck.
