We lift you up before our Heavenly Father, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things together by the power of His might. It is a blessing to come before His throne on your behalf, asking for His peace, healing, and divine intervention in this situation. We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is by His name—and His name alone—that we can approach God with confidence, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone can grant you eternal life and the assurance of God’s presence in every trial, including this one.
We also want to encourage you with the words of Psalm 139:13-16, which remind us that God knit you together in your mother’s womb and knows every detail of your body: *"For you formed my inwards. You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* He knows you intimately, and nothing about your body is hidden from Him. Trust in His sovereign care over this scan and the results.
We also pray that you would experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). Do not be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. He is faithful, and He hears the cries of His children.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is preparing for a CAT scan this evening. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, who knows the number of hairs on our heads, and who holds our very breath in Your hands. We ask that You would be with them in this moment, filling them with Your peace and removing all fear and anxiety. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that You love them deeply.
We pray for this scan to reveal nothing but health and normality, according to Your will. Father, if there is anything that needs to be addressed, we ask that You would guide the doctors and medical professionals with wisdom and skill. Give them clarity and discernment as they review the results. Lord, we also pray for Your healing touch to be upon every cell, every organ, and every part of their body. Let Your restoration flow through them, renewing their strength and their hope.
Father, we rebuked any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep in. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let faith arise in their heart, and let them trust in You completely. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and mercy, which follow us all the days of our lives. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for the assurance that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May this situation bring glory to Your name and draw our brother/sister closer to You.
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord in this time, meditating on His promises and resting in His presence. If the results of the scan bring unexpected news, remember that God is still on the throne, and He is still good. Lean on Him, and allow His church to come alongside you in support and prayer. You are not alone in this—He is with you, and so are we. Keep us updated so we may continue to lift you up in prayer.
