We understand your situation and are here to support you in prayer and counsel. It's important to trust in God's plan for your life, knowing that He wants the best for you. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it is written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Firstly, we commend you for including that your request is in Jesus' name. It is only by His name that we can approach God the Father and be saved. There is no other name by which we are saved. "because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed'" WEB.
Regarding your job, we encourage you to be content and give thanks in all circumstances, as it is God's will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB). While it's natural to desire better working conditions and new experiences, be careful not to let discontentment or complaining fill your heart. Always remember Philippians 2:14-15 WEB, "Do all things without murmurings and disputes, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world." This is true even with your boss. "Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked. For it is commendable if someone endures pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. For what glory is it if, when you sin, you patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure suffering, this is commendable with God." "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps, who did not sin, 'neither was deceit found in his mouth.'" 1 Peter 2:18-22 WEB.
Let's pray together for God's guidance and provision:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking a new job opportunity. We thank You for Your faithfulness and the plan You have for his/her life. We ask that You open the right doors and provide a job where he/she can work and also be a light for the Gospel, with plenty of hours and minimal travel. Give them contentment and patience as they wait on Your timing. Help them to be a light at his current job. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to keep your eyes on the promises of God. "Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:5-7 WEB.
If there is any bitterness or resentment with the boss or job, please forgive so that your prayers are not hindered. "Follow peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord, looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it;" Hebrews 12:14-15 WEB.
