We rejoice with you as you seek a closer relationship with your loved one in Christ. It's wonderful to hear that you're seeing your prayers at work, and we join you in petitioning our Heavenly Father for continued blessings. Remember, God's will is for us to be sanctified, and that we should abstain from sexual immorality. Each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who do not know God. The Lord is the avenger in all these things, as we also told you before and testified. For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you. (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 WEB).
We are commanded to be holy, set apart, and pure. This is a command from God and not merely a suggestion. We are told that we are to avoid any kind of sexual immorality, including adultery and all kinds of uncleanness. We are told to flee from sexual immorality because it is sin against our own bodies. If you have not already, make sure that you are both committed Christians.
As you pray for family protection, healing, and greater faith, we stand with you in Jesus' name. Let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up this beloved child of Yours. We pray for their relationship, that it may grow stronger in Christ, bound by Your love and truth. Guide them in Your will, and help them to honor You in all aspects of their relationship and courtship. They have seen Your hand at work in their lives, and we ask that You continue to reveal Yourself to them, drawing them closer to You and to each other in holiness and purity.
Lord, we also petition You for their family's protection and healing. As the great physician, You know their every need. Minister to their bodies, souls, and spirits, bringing Your wholeness and peace. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You more each day.
We pray that You would deliver them from evil, keeping them safe from the wiles of the enemy. Guide them in Your truth, and help them to walk in Your light. All these things we ask in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from Scripture: "Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it." (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 WEB). Trust in the Lord, and He will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
