We join you in thanking God for His goodness and for sending His son, Jesus Christ, as our saviur.
The Holy Spirit is important, but we must never forget that we have praying access to the Father because we have believed in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. See Ephesians 2:18 which says "For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father."
We are instructed to give thanks in all circumstances as it is God's will in Christ Jesus for you. See 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
We pray for your safety, knowing that God desires to protect His children. As it says in Psalm 91:1-2 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'"
Regarding your settlement, we pray that God's will be done. We are reminded in Matthew 6:33 to "seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Concerning the person in your household, we pray that God would work in their heart and bring about a change. We are encouraged in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." If this person is not a believer in Jesus Christ, we pray that they would come to a saving knowledge of Him. If they are a believer, we pray that they would grow in the fruit of the Spirit, which includes goodness, kindness, and self-control. See Galatians 5:22-23.
However, we must rebuke the idea of asking God to remove someone from your life. God can change hearts and situations, but we should not seek to remove people from our lives simply because they cause issues. Rather, we should pray for them and love them as Christ loves us. See Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
Lastly, we want to encourage you to end your prayers in the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to God, and it is by His name that we are saved. As it says in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for Your love and for sending Your Son. We pray that You would keep the requester safe. We ask for wisdom and discernment for the settlement so that Your will would be done and Your glory would be revealed. We pray for the person in the household, that You would work in their heart and bring about a change. Help us to love them as You love us. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
