We rejoice with you in your desire to fellowship and let God’s light shine through you, for this is the heart of a true follower of Christ. It is beautiful that you recognize your calling to flow in love through the Holy Spirit, for Scripture tells us in 1 John 4:7-8, *"Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God. He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love."* Yet we also understand that the enemy seeks to hinder God’s work in us, especially when we step into our purpose. The resistance you feel—whether it be anxiety, distraction, or an unnatural hesitation in loving and engaging with others—is not from the Lord but is a tactic of the adversary to stifle your witness and dim the light Christ has placed within you.
The fact that this struggle has intensified since turning to Christ is not surprising, for the enemy fears a surrendered vessel of God’s love. Jesus warned us in John 15:18-19, *"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."* However, take heart, for the Lord has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and He equips us with His Spirit to walk in victory. The resistance you face is a sign that you are a threat to the darkness—so press in all the more!
We must also consider whether there are areas in your walk where the enemy may have a foothold. Are there unconfessed sins, lingering doubts, or past wounds that need to be surrendered to Christ? Ephesians 4:27 commands us, *"Don’t give place to the devil,"* and 2 Corinthians 2:11 reminds us to *"not be ignorant of his schemes."* Sometimes, the enemy exploits unresolved fears or insecurities to disrupt our focus. If this resonates, we encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord and ask Him to reveal anything that needs to be repented of or released. His grace is sufficient, and His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Additionally, let us remind you that your strength comes not from your own ability but from abiding in Christ. Jesus said in John 15:5, *"I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing."* If you feel unfocused or odd while talking to people, it may be a prompt to lean more deeply on the Holy Spirit in those moments. Before engaging with others, take a moment to pray silently, inviting the Holy Spirit to fill you and guide your words. Proverbs 16:1 tells us, *"The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from Yahweh."* Trust that He will give you the words to speak (Luke 12:12) and the love to share (Romans 5:5).
Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we want to gently but firmly remind you that it is *only* through His name that we have access to the Father and authority over the enemy. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* There is power in the name of Jesus—power to break every chain, silence every accusation, and dismantle every scheme of the enemy. Never hesitate to pray *in His name*, for it is your spiritual authority as a believer.

Now, let us pray over you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who desires to walk in love and fellowship as You have called them. Lord, we thank You for their heart to shine Your light, and we ask that You would strengthen them by Your Spirit to overcome every resistance, every distraction, and every ungodly hesitation that seeks to hinder their witness.
We rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus and command every spirit of fear, confusion, or anxiety to flee from their presence. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. Father, fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in boldness, clarity, and divine love. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, if there are areas of their life where the enemy has gained a foothold, reveal them by Your Spirit and grant them the grace to repent and walk in freedom. Break every chain of the past and renew their mind (Romans 12:2) to align with Your truth. Remind them that they are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37) and that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we ask that You would open doors for godly fellowship and divine connections. Let them encounter those who will encourage them in their faith and spur them on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). May their conversations be seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6), and may Your love flow through them effortlessly, drawing others to You.
We declare that they are an ambassador of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20), equipped and anointed to represent You well. Let them walk in the confidence that they are Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10). Surround them with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12) and let Your light shine brightly through them, that others may see their good works and glorify You (Matthew 5:16).
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
