It's Friday, July 27, 2012 as I write this forward to the weekly newsletter of what's been going on at prayerrequest.com.
1. Quick Reply Button - Underneath each of the first 50 requests on the home page is a button that says, Click Here if You Prayed. When you click this, it will then automatically post a general reply indicating that you prayed for this request. It will then return you to the home page. You can also customize the text that is used for these replies. To customize your quick reply, Go to the Settings Menu, then Edit My Profile. Then scroll down to the bottom and edit the Quick Reply Text. Then click save changes. Now, whatever you entered there will be used whenever you click the button under a request. You can also click the link that says Click Here to Reply. This is the to enter whatever you want with the regular reply format.
2. Scroll Back to Last Request Prayed For - After you pray for something using the quick reply, or when you click after praying for something to return to the home page, the system should automatically try to return you to the request you were at. This should make it easier to go through multiple prayer requests. It will also show an animated graphic that says, Thank You For Praying. As usual, please wait up to two minutes for your name to actually show up on the Who Prayed List under each request.
3. Who Prayed - Underneath each request, it will show a list of all the members who prayed for this request. This may help make it easier to track which of the latest requests you prayed for. Clicking on a name will go to the member's profile. And, please wait up to two minutes for people who replied to show up on the list.
4. Changing Password - The ability to change passwords has been fixed. There were some problems with it the last few days. So if you had trouble with it, try again. It is fixed now.
5. Right Column Enlarged - Many requests were coming in this week. After an hour, the requests would start rolling off to the right column on the home page for requests #21-50. To give these requests more visibility, the right column on the home page was enlarged by about 35%. The right column also contains the who prayed and quick reply features.
