We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God assures us that by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and that Jesus Himself bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). We stand on these promises, believing that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician, who hears the cries of His children and responds with compassion and power.
Father God, we humbly ask for Your healing touch upon this dear one who is in need. Whether the affliction is physical, emotional, or spiritual, we know that nothing is too difficult for You. Your Word declares that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would bring restoration, strength, and wholeness. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may be at work, for Your Word tells us that the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every sickness, pain, and disease to flee in the name of Jesus, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Lord, we ask that You would draw this person closer to You through this trial. May they seek Your face and find comfort in Your presence. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are providing care—doctors, nurses, family, and friends. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, and let Your healing power flow through them. May this situation bring glory to Your name, as others see Your hand at work and come to know You as their Savior and Healer.
Finally, we thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect will, knowing that whether in healing or in endurance, You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that this trial will not overcome them, but that they will overcome through the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony (Revelation 12:11).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
