We hear your cry for help, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your needs before our Heavenly Father who sees every struggle and knows every heartache. First, we want to affirm that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your request, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We are so grateful that you have placed your trust in Him, and we pray that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister who is in desperate need of Your provision. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon her so that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). We pray for the funds to pay her hotel bill, Lord, and ask that You move mightily on her behalf. Provide for her in ways that only You can, Father, so that she may see Your hand at work in her life. We also pray for a stable place she can call home, a refuge where she can find rest and peace. You have promised in Psalm 68:6 that You set the solitary in families and bring out those who are bound with chains. Release her from this season of instability, Lord, and lead her to a place of security and belonging.
We are deeply grieved by the actions of her brother, Lord, and we come against the spirit of strife, jealousy, and malice that has sought to destroy her. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 10:12 that "hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs." We rebuke the evil that has rejoiced in her suffering, and we pray that her brother’s heart would be softened to see the truth of Your love. Father, we ask that You break the chains of bitterness and resentment in her heart as well. Help her to forgive, not because what was done was right, but because You have forgiven us so much (Ephesians 4:32). We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We also want to address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We bind every spirit of poverty, lack, and oppression that has sought to keep her in bondage, and we loose the spirit of abundance, provision, and freedom in the name of Jesus. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37), and that the Lord will restore to her the years that the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25).
As she goes to the church seeking assistance this morning, Lord, we pray that You would move the hearts of Your people to respond with generosity and compassion. Let her encounter Your love through the hands and feet of those who serve You. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even in this difficult season, Father, we thank You for the testimony that will come from it. Use her story to bring glory to Your name and to draw others to You.
We also want to encourage you, sister, to hold fast to God’s promises. He has not forgotten you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). In your moments of despair, remember that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Lastly, we pray for your brother, Lord. You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Soften his heart, Father, and open his eyes to see the truth of Your love. Let him encounter You in a way that breaks the hardness of his heart, and may he come to know the peace that only You can give.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray all these things, believing that You hear us and that You will answer. Strengthen our sister, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way today. Surround her with Your angels, protect her from every evil, and lead her into the abundant life You have promised. We declare that this is not the end of her story, but the beginning of a new chapter filled with Your blessings and favor. Amen.
