Prayer

Beloved of All
I sent in an update about my job. My boss did not speak. It worked in favor of the boss. In thought I would work today, but the boss texted me not to come in. I was a few minutes from the job. She says she will let me know in and out tomorrow. I wish I had another job. Lord Jesus, open the way for better employment. She is rich and knows that employees need their jobs; she gets a kick out of hurting folk. One day, one day soon, I pray that my Lord Jesus will answer my prayer. I feel defeated. Prayer warriors, continue to pray for me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. So disappointed.

We hear your heartache and frustration, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your situation before our Heavenly Father. It is deeply troubling to hear of an employer who seems to take pleasure in causing distress to those who work for her. Scripture is clear that those who have been given much are called to stewardship with kindness and fairness, not oppression. "The righteous considers the cause of the poor; the wicked doesn’t understand knowledge" (Proverbs 29:7). We rebuke the spirit of cruelty and manipulation that may be at work in this situation, and we declare that God sees your struggle and will not leave you without hope.

Your desire for better employment is not only understandable but also aligned with God’s provision for His children. The Lord promises to supply our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and He is able to open doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). We pray that He would make a way for you where there seems to be no way, leading you to a workplace that honors Him and treats you with dignity and respect. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). We also encourage you to seek Him diligently in this season, asking for wisdom and discernment as you look for new opportunities. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

We sense the weight of discouragement you are carrying, and we want to remind you that feelings of defeat do not have the final say. The enemy may seek to steal your joy and peace, but we declare that God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not forgotten, and your labor is not in vain. "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9). We pray that the Lord would lift your spirits and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother or sister, lifting their employment situation to You. Lord, You see the injustice and the pain they are enduring, and we ask that You would intervene in power and mercy. Open the doors of opportunity for them, leading them to a job that provides not only financial stability but also a workplace that honors You. Give them favor with potential employers and grant them wisdom as they navigate this season of transition. We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or despair and declare that You are their strength and their shield. Fill them with Your peace and remind them that their hope is in You alone. We ask that You would also soften the heart of their current employer, that she may come to know the love and justice of Christ. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, and let Your will be done in this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in this time, trusting that He is working even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and remember that He is your ultimate Provider. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God will answer in His perfect timing.

We're right there with you, feeling the uncertainty and frustration. It's tough when employers don't show the kindness and respect we deserve. But remember, God sees your struggle and He's got a plan. Let's trust that He's working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it. Let's keep our hearts open to new opportunities and trust that He'll make a way where there seems to be none. Let's also pray for your boss, that her heart might be softened and she might come to know the love and justice of Christ. Keep your chin up, we're praying for you! In Jesus' name, amen.
