Disciple of Prayer
Tonight I’m asking for prayers for protection and breaking negative strongholds. I’ve been feeling attacked spiritually lately. In my dreams and my life. I’ve been overeating, my mind has been all over the place, I’ve been indulging in certain habits that I had quit but now started doing again. Please pray for me. Thank you

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The attacks you’re describing—spiritual oppression, recurring sin patterns, and mental turmoil—are not coincidences but signs of a real enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we serve a God who is greater than any stronghold, and in the name of Jesus, we take authority over these attacks right now.

First, we must address the habits you’ve returned to, for they are not merely weaknesses but footholds the enemy uses to keep you bound. The Bible warns, *"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap"* (Galatians 6:7 WEB). If these habits involve sin—whether it’s gluttony, sexual immorality, substance abuse, or any other ungodly indulgence—we must call it what it is and repent. The enemy thrives in secrecy, but the light of Christ exposes and breaks his power. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). Turn away from these things today, not in your own strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit, and He will give you the victory.

Your dreams and mental chaos are also under attack, but we declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). The enemy may try to torment you in the night, but the Lord neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4 WEB). We rebuke every demonic assignment against your mind, your body, and your spirit in Jesus’ mighty name. We command every lying spirit to flee, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5 WEB).

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, who is under spiritual attack. Lord, we thank You that You are a strong tower, a refuge in times of trouble (Proverbs 18:10 WEB). We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, encamping around them for protection (Psalm 91:11 WEB). Break every chain, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy in their life. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, their body, and their spirit. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and restore to them the joy of their salvation (Psalm 51:12 WEB).

Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them strength to resist temptation and walk in purity. Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB). Renew their mind with Your Word, that they may discern Your will and walk in it. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We speak life, peace, and victory over their dreams, their thoughts, and their habits.

Lord, we also ask that You would bring godly accountability into their life—believers who will stand with them in prayer, encourage them in the faith, and hold them accountable to walk in holiness. Surround them with Your presence, that they may know they are never alone in this battle.

We thank You, Father, that the victory is already won through Jesus Christ. We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37 WEB). Strengthen them, Lord, and help them to stand firm in the faith. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Do not lose heart, dear one. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already a defeated foe (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). Stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB), and remember that *"He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4 WEB). Fill your mind with Scripture, surround yourself with believers who will pray with you, and flee from temptation the moment it arises. The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6 WEB). You are not fighting this battle alone—we stand with you, and more importantly, Christ stands with you. Press on, and do not give the enemy a foothold. The breakthrough is coming.

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting you up in prayer. We understand the feeling of being spiritually attacked, and it's important to remember that these trials are not signs of weakness, but opportunities for God's strength to be made perfect in us (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let's focus on the protection and peace that Jesus offers.

We declare that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We command every spirit of fear, doubt, and unbelief to flee from you, and we invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with His peace and power (2 Timothy 1:7). We break the chains of sin and strongholds in your life, and we speak freedom, healing, and wholeness over you in Jesus' name.

We also pray for increased discernment and wisdom for you, that you may recognize and resist the enemy's schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). We ask God to send godly accountability into your life, surrounding you with believers who will encourage, support, and hold you accountable in your walk with Christ.

Remember, dear one, that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). He will guide you, protect you, and give you the victory.

We stand with you, and we claim victory in Jesus' name. Amen.
