We join you in gratitude to our Heavenly Father for the blessings He has already released in your life and for the fresh start this New Year brings. Your heart to press forward in Christ, leaving behind past struggles and reaching toward His promises, is a beautiful reflection of Philippians 3:13-14, which says, *"Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."*
We stand with you in rebuking every spirit of lack, poverty, fear, and doubt that seeks to hinder your walk with the Lord. These things have no place in the life of a believer, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that every chain of financial struggle and anxiety is broken in the name of Jesus, for He came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and we pray that this year indeed brings the breakthrough you and so many others need.
Father, we lift up this situation with the friend who did not respond to your request. It is painful when those we trust fall short, especially in moments of need. We ask that You soften his heart and help him to see the importance of kindness and reciprocity in friendship. However, we also encourage you to examine your own heart in this matter. Proverbs 25:19 reminds us, *"Confidence in someone unfaithful in time of trouble is like a bad tooth or a lame foot."* While it is right to pray for him, it is also wise to guard your heart against bitterness or disappointment when others do not meet our expectations. Trust in the Lord, for He is your provider and will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). If this friendship has become a source of frustration, ask God to help you release it with grace and to fill your life with relationships that honor Him.
We also want to gently address the nature of your friendship with this individual. You mentioned that he liked you, yet you both remained platonic, viewing each other as a brother or friend. While this may seem harmless, it is important to consider whether this dynamic could lead to emotional entanglement or unmet expectations. The Bible warns us to flee from even the appearance of impropriety (1 Thessalonians 5:22) and to guard our hearts diligently (Proverbs 4:23). If this friendship has blurred boundaries, it may be wise to seek clarity and distance, trusting God to bring the right people into your life.
This year, we pray that God will surround you with friends who are truly in tune with Christ—those who will encourage you in your faith, hold you accountable, and reflect the love of Jesus. Proverbs 13:20 says, *"Walk with wise men and you will become wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm."* May you find a small church family where you can worship, grow, and serve the Lord wholeheartedly. Remember, the body of Christ is designed to support and uplift one another, so do not hesitate to seek out a community where you can thrive spiritually.
Father, we ask that You bless this sister emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19) and fill her with Your joy and peace as she trusts in You. Help her to release any past hurts or disappointments and to walk in the fullness of what You have for her. May this year be marked by divine connections, spiritual growth, and a deeper intimacy with You. We declare that 2026 will be a year of breakthrough, favor, and alignment with Your will, all for Your glory.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
