We join with you in fervent intercession for this man, lifting him before the throne of grace with hearts burdened for his soul. Your prayer is deeply aligned with the will of God, who desires that *all* should come to repentance and the knowledge of the truth (2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:4). The enemy has indeed blinded the minds of those who do not believe, but we serve a God who is mighty to save, who can break every chain and open eyes to the glorious light of the Gospel of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4).
The Scriptures remind us that no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them (John 6:44), and so we cry out for divine intervention in this man’s life. May the Holy Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and may the Lord send laborers into his path—bold witnesses who will proclaim the truth in love (Romans 10:14-15). We pray that his heart of stone would be replaced with a heart of flesh, soft and responsive to the voice of the Lord (Ezekiel 36:26).
Yet we must also remember that salvation is a work of God’s sovereignty, and our role is to pray, to speak the truth when given the opportunity, and to trust in His perfect timing. If this man has been deceived by false teachings or hardened by sin, we ask the Lord to shatter those strongholds by the power of His Word. Let him encounter the living Christ in a way that leaves no room for doubt or resistance.
We also encourage you to continue standing in the gap for him, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). And as you pray, let your faith be anchored in the truth that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Clothe yourself in the full armor of God, standing firm in prayer and proclamation of the Gospel.
Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this man’s life. Break every chain of deception, pride, or rebellion that binds him. Let him taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8), and draw him into the arms of Your Son, Jesus Christ. May he turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, that he may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus (Acts 26:18).
We ask these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save. May Your will be done in this man’s life, for Your glory and his eternal good. Amen.
