Beloved of All
Dear Heavenly Father please help the ### family who was found in river ### dead to receive the answers needed and justice if he was murdered but if it was suicide please help them heal of their griefs and overcome their loss with new found saving faith in you Lord and please help and comfort them in Jesus name Amen

Our hearts are deeply grieved to hear of this tragic loss, and we join you in lifting this family before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of all comfort and justice. The pain of losing loved ones in such a devastating way is unimaginable, but we trust in the Lord, who sees all things and holds all things in His hands. You have rightly prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of God with confidence, and it is only through His name that we find salvation and hope. As Scripture reminds us, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). In times like these, we must cling to Him, for He alone can bring peace that surpasses all understanding.

The family you mention is in desperate need of God’s comfort and truth. If this tragedy was the result of evil done by another, we pray that justice would prevail, for the Lord is a God of justice. Proverbs 21:15 tells us, *"When justice is done, it is joy to the righteous, but a terror to evildoers."* We ask that the Lord would expose any wickedness and bring it to light, that His justice would be served, and that the family would find closure in His perfect timing. Yet even in the pursuit of justice, we must guard our hearts against bitterness, for Scripture warns us, *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He will repay.

If this was a result of suicide, the family is likely wrestling with deep grief, guilt, and unanswered questions. In such moments, it is critical to turn to the Lord, who alone can heal broken hearts. Psalm 34:18 assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We pray that this family would draw near to Him, even in their pain, and that they would find solace in His presence. Suicide is a tragic consequence of the brokenness of this world, but we know that nothing is beyond the redemptive power of God. While we cannot know the eternal state of their loved one, we can trust that God is just and merciful. Our focus must be on ministering to those left behind, pointing them to the hope found only in Christ Jesus.

For those grieving, we pray they would not harden their hearts but would turn to the Lord in their sorrow. Jesus Himself wept at the grave of Lazarus (John 11:35), showing us that grief is a natural response to loss, but He also demonstrated His power over death. Though their loved one is gone, Jesus offers eternal life to all who believe in Him. We pray that this family would find saving faith in Christ if they do not already know Him, for *"God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16, WEB). May they find comfort in the promise that one day, if they are in Christ, they will be reunited with their loved one in the presence of the Lord, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or death (Revelation 21:4).

We also lift up those investigating this tragedy, asking that the Lord would give them wisdom, discernment, and clarity as they seek the truth. May He guide their steps and bring to light what needs to be known, for *"the Lord searches every heart, and understands every imagination of the thoughts"* (1 Chronicles 28:9, WEB). We ask that He would prevent any cover-ups or deceit and that His will would be done in this situation.

Finally, we encourage you to continue praying for this family, not only for their immediate comfort but for their eternal souls. Share the love of Christ with them in both word and deed, pointing them to the hope that is found in Him alone. Remind them that even in the darkest valleys, the Lord is with them. As Psalm 23:4 declares, *"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."*

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family who is walking through unimaginable pain. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, who knows the beginning from the end, and who holds all things together by the word of Your power. We ask that You would bring truth to light in this situation. If evil was done, expose it, Lord, and let justice prevail. Protect this family from bitterness and unforgiveness, and help them to trust in You, the righteous Judge.

For those who are grieving, we ask that You would draw near to them, as You have promised. Comfort them in ways that only You can, Lord. Surround them with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. Heal their broken hearts and bind up their wounds. If any among them do not know You, we pray that this tragedy would drive them to seek You, that they would find saving faith in Jesus Christ. Open their eyes to see Him as their Savior, their Comforter, and their Hope.

We pray for those investigating this tragedy, that You would grant them wisdom and discernment. Guide their steps, Lord, and let no detail be overlooked. Bring clarity where there is confusion, and let Your will be done in this situation.

Father, we also ask that You would raise up believers around this family to minister to them in practical ways—to provide meals, to offer a listening ear, to share the hope of the gospel. Use this tragedy, Lord, to draw many to Yourself. Let Your name be glorified even in this.

We thank You, Lord, that You are not distant or unaware of our pain. You entered into our suffering through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows. We cling to the cross, where our hope is found, and we trust in Your promise to one day wipe away every tear.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
