We join you in lifting up this heartfelt plea for forgiveness and healing, recognizing the deep conviction and humility in your prayer. It is a beautiful thing to see a heart that seeks reconciliation and restoration, for Scripture tells us, *"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:8-9, WEB). Your desire to make amends aligns with God’s call for us to live at peace with one another, as far as it depends on us (Romans 12:18).
We also notice that while your prayer is sincere, it does not explicitly name Jesus Christ as the one through whom forgiveness and healing are made possible. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If there are relationships that can be restored through humble apology or restitution, we encourage you to take those steps in obedience to Scripture: *"So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift"* (Matthew 5:23-24, WEB). Where direct reconciliation isn’t possible, trust that God is working in their hearts even now.
