We join you in praising the Lord, for He alone is worthy of all honor and glory! It is a joy to lift up your family, your extended loved ones, and your close friends before the throne of grace. We also take this moment to gently remind you that our prayers are only heard and answered because of the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is through faith in Him that we boldly approach God, and we encourage you to always invoke His holy name in your prayers, for He is the mediator between God and mankind (1 Timothy 2:5).
Now, let us address the matters of your heart. We rejoice with you in seeking God’s blessings, for He delights in providing for His children. However, we must also consider what the Scriptures teach about wealth, prosperity, and health. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:33 (WEB), *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Our primary pursuit must always be the Kingdom of God—His righteousness, His will, and His glory. When we align our hearts with His purposes, He faithfully provides what we need. Prosperity in Scripture is often tied to spiritual richness rather than merely material abundance. As the apostle Paul writes, *"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that."* (1 Timothy 6:6-8, WEB).
Wealth can be a blessing, but it can also become a snare if it takes precedence over our devotion to Christ. Jesus warns in Matthew 19:23-24 (WEB), *"I tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye than for a rich person to enter into God’s Kingdom."* Our prayer is that if the Lord grants you material blessings, He will also grant you the wisdom to steward them for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom.
Regarding health, we know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are to honor God with them. We pray for your physical well-being, but even more so, we pray for your spiritual vitality. The apostle John writes, *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* (3 John 1:2, WEB). True prosperity begins with the health of our souls—our relationship with Christ, our obedience to His Word, and our growth in faith.
We also take this moment to gently ask: Are there any areas in your life or the lives of those you’re praying for that may not align with God’s Word? For example, are there relationships that do not honor the biblical design for marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman? Are there financial practices that may be unwise or unethical? Are there priorities that have shifted away from seeking God first? We ask these questions not to condemn but to encourage a life fully surrendered to Christ, for *"the prayer of the upright pleases him"* (Proverbs 15:8, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister and their family, their extended loved ones, and their close friends to You. Lord, we ask that You would draw each of them closer to Yourself, that they may seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness above all else. Grant them the wisdom to steward every blessing—whether wealth, health, or relationships—for Your glory.
Father, we pray for their physical health, that You would strengthen their bodies and protect them from sickness and disease. But even more, we pray for the prosperity of their souls, that they may grow in faith, love, and obedience to Your Word. Guard their hearts from the love of money and the temptations that come with material wealth. Teach them to be content in all circumstances, trusting in Your faithful provision.
Lord, we also ask that You would examine their lives and reveal any area that does not align with Your will. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance where needed. May their homes be founded on Your truth, their relationships be pure and honorable, and their finances be managed with integrity and generosity.
We rebuked any spirit of greed, idolatry, or misplaced trust in wealth rather than in You. Let them remember that *"every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17, WEB). May they use every resource You provide to bless others and advance Your Kingdom.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Let them rest in the assurance that You know their needs and will provide according to Your riches in glory. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily, to study His Word, and to trust in His perfect timing and provision. Remember that *"delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4, WEB). Stay rooted in prayer, and may the Lord richly bless you as you walk in obedience to Him.
