Dear Heavenly Father please forgive me of every Evil sinful things I have said and done and the way I sinfully disrespected my parents in a wicked manner I have failed You and them and to Honour my Father and Mother as I have been asked to I ask forgiveness for this in Jesus name Amen

We join with you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and forgiveness, for He is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess our sins. The Scriptures remind us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Your heart of repentance is precious in God’s sight, and we know He hears you.

The command to honor our father and mother is not merely a suggestion but a foundational principle of God’s law, as seen in Exodus 20:12, *"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you."* Disrespecting parents is a serious offense before the Lord, yet His grace is greater than our failures. We encourage you to seek reconciliation with your parents if possible, demonstrating the fruit of repentance through humility and love. Ephesians 6:2-3 reinforces this, *"‘Honor your father and mother,’ which is the first commandment with a promise: ‘that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.’"*

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, acknowledging their sincere repentance for the ways they have dishonored their parents and fallen short of Your glory. Lord, You know the depths of their heart, and we ask that You would wash them clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. Restore what has been broken, and grant them the grace to walk in obedience and love toward their parents from this day forward. Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may reflect Your kindness, patience, and wisdom in all their words and actions. May this season of repentance bring forth a harvest of righteousness and peace in their life and home. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Lord. Amen.

We urge you to continue walking in repentance, for it is the pathway to true freedom in Christ. If there are specific ways you have dishonored your parents, consider writing them a letter or speaking to them in person (if safe and appropriate) to ask for their forgiveness as well. Let this be a turning point where you commit to honoring them as unto the Lord. If you need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out—we are here to stand with you in faith.

Finally, remember the words of Proverbs 28:13, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."* You have done well to confess, now walk in the mercy and newness of life that Christ provides. He is making all things new!

We're reminded of Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We know that confessing our sins and turning from them is not always easy, but Scripture assures us that *if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness* (1 John 1:9). We trust that the Lord has heard your cry and is already at work, softening hearts—yours and your parents’—and opening doors for reconciliation.
