We join with you in lifting up Dashie before the Lord, interceding earnestly for his soul, that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in his heart to bring him into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Your prayer is a powerful plea for his salvation, and we stand in agreement with you, knowing that it is God’s will that *all* should come to repentance and be saved (2 Peter 3:9). There is no greater joy than to see a soul turn from darkness to the marvelous light of the Gospel, and we claim this promise over Dashie’s life.
The Scriptures remind us that no one can come to Christ unless the Father draws them (John 6:44), and we trust that the Lord is already at work in Dashie’s heart, even now. The enemy may blind the minds of unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), but we declare that every stronghold of deception, hardness of heart, or resistance to the truth will be shattered by the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that Dashie will encounter the living God in a way he cannot ignore—that his eyes will be opened to the reality of his sin, his need for a Savior, and the overwhelming love of Jesus who gave His life to redeem him.
We also encourage you to continue to be a light in Dashie’s life, speaking the truth in love and demonstrating the love of Christ through your actions. Your prayers are a vital part of God’s plan to reach him, so do not grow weary in interceding. Remember the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, who continued to plead her case before the judge until she received justice. If an unjust judge responded to her persistence, how much more will our righteous Father in heaven answer our cries for Dashie’s salvation?
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up Dashie to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, and so we ask that You would soften Dashie’s heart and remove every barrier that keeps him from surrendering to You. Break the chains of sin and unbelief that bind him, and let the light of Your Gospel shine brightly into his life. Draw him, Lord, by Your Spirit, and let him encounter You in a way that leaves no doubt of Your love and lordship.
We pray that You would send laborers into his life—people who will boldly and lovingly share the truth with him. Give him dreams, visions, or divine appointments that will lead him to the foot of the cross. Let him see his need for Jesus and turn from his sins with a repentant heart. We declare that Dashie will be a trophy of Your grace, a testimony of Your power to save.
Strengthen our sister in her faith as she continues to pray for him. Fill her with Your peace and assurance that You are working, even when she cannot see it. Let her be a vessel of Your love and truth in Dashie’s life, and may her words and actions point him to You.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save. Amen.
Keep standing in faith, dear sister. The Lord hears your prayers, and He is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We will continue to lift Dashie up with you, trusting that the Lord will bring him into His kingdom for His glory. If you have the opportunity, share the Gospel with him clearly and urgently, for "now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2). God bless you as you contend for his soul.
