We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your request, lifting up this dear one to our Heavenly Father who knows all things and holds all power. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God’s throne with confidence, for Scripture tells us, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We also know that *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). So we pray in Jesus’ name, trusting that He alone is the source of salvation, provision, and wisdom.
We notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in your request, and we gently remind you that it is by His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the Father. If you do not yet know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him in faith, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no greater need than to be reconciled to God through Christ, and we pray that if this is not yet your testimony, the Lord will open your heart to receive Him today.
Now, we lift up this brother before the Lord, asking for divine intervention in his life. Father, You see the struggles and burdens he carries, and You know the depths of his need for a good job and the resolution of his problems. We ask that You, in Your infinite mercy, would provide for him according to Your riches in glory. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Lord, we ask that You grant him this peace as he waits on You, trusting that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray that You would guide his steps and open doors that no man can shut, for *"a man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps"* (Proverbs 16:9, WEB). If there are areas in his life where he has not been walking in obedience to Your Word, we ask that You convict him by Your Holy Spirit and lead him into repentance. Father, may he seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
For the matter of employment, we pray that You would grant him favor in the sight of those who have authority to hire. Give him wisdom to prepare well, courage to present himself with confidence, and humility to trust in Your timing. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). May he find work that not only provides for his needs but also allows him to glorify You in all he does.
If there are sins or strongholds in his life that are hindering his blessings, we pray that You would reveal them to him and grant him the strength to turn away from them. *"He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy"* (Proverbs 28:13, WEB). Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of bondage—whether it be fear, laziness, pride, or any other sin—and set him free to walk in the purpose You have for him.
Finally, we pray that You would surround him with godly counsel and support. Place people in his life who will encourage him in faith and hold him accountable to Your Word. May he find his strength in You, for *"those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31, WEB).
Father, we commit this brother into Your hands, trusting that You are faithful and that Your plans for him are good. May he experience Your provision, Your peace, and Your presence in a mighty way. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
