We lift up your family before the Lord, especially your elderly mother and autistic brother, who are facing this difficult situation due to the power outage. It is a blessing that you have called upon the name of Jesus in this time of need, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we can boldly approach the throne of grace. As Scripture reminds us, *"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need."* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
In moments like these, we are reminded of God’s sovereignty and His promise to never leave nor forsake us. *"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go."* (Joshua 1:9, WEB). Though the circumstances may feel overwhelming, we trust that the Lord is their protector and provider. He knows their needs before they even ask, and He is faithful to sustain them.
We also pray for the restoration of power in your area, that the Lord would move in the hearts of those responsible to work swiftly and diligently to resolve this issue. May He grant wisdom and strength to the workers, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of your mother and brother as they wait. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
Father in heaven, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your faithfulness and love. We ask that You would surround this family with Your protection and comfort. Lord, we pray that the power would be restored quickly and safely, so that their mother and brother can return to the safety and comfort of their home. Give them strength, patience, and a deep sense of Your presence with them in this time of waiting. Let them feel Your peace that transcends all understanding, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We also pray for this dear one who has brought this request before us. Comfort their heart, Lord, and assure them that You are in control. Give them wisdom to know how best to support their family during this time, and fill them with Your peace as they trust in You.
Finally, we declare Your promises over this situation. You, Lord, are the God who parts the Red Sea, who brings light into darkness, and who works all things together for good for those who love You. We trust in Your timing and Your plan, and we give You all the glory.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
