We join you in lifting up your brother before the Lord, knowing that nothing is impossible for our God, who is the Great Physician of both body and soul. The struggles your family faces are deep, and we grieve with you over the pain caused by hurtful words and emotional outbursts. Yet we also stand in faith, declaring that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in your brother’s life. The Bible assures us that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is not distant from your brother’s suffering but is actively working to bring restoration.
We are especially moved by your heart for your mother, who bears the brunt of these struggles. The Lord sees her tears and her weariness, and we pray that He would wrap her in His strength, just as He promised in Isaiah 40:29: *"He gives power to the faint. He increases the strength of him who has no might."* May she find supernatural endurance and peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that her labor in love is not in vain. The Lord is her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
For your brother, we claim the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:17: *"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* Though his mind may be afflicted, we ask the Lord to renew his thoughts and emotions, binding every spirit of confusion, anger, and despair in Jesus’ name. We pray for divine intervention in his brain—whether through medical wisdom, supernatural healing, or both—that his mind would be made whole. The Lord is able to restore what has been broken, and we trust Him to do so according to His perfect will.
We also encourage you to continue covering your home in prayer, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is peace (Isaiah 26:3). Speak life over your family, declaring that the Prince of Peace reigns in your household. If bitterness or resentment has taken root in any heart, we ask the Lord to uproot it and replace it with His love, which bears all things and endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this brother who is deeply loved by You and his family. Lord, You knit him together in his mother’s womb, and You know every synapse, every thought, every wound in his mind. We ask for Your healing touch to restore him completely—spirit, soul, and body. Rebuke every spiritual force that seeks to torment him, and let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also lift up their mother, who carries such a heavy burden. Strengthen her, Lord, and let her find rest in You. Fill her with Your joy and hope, even in the midst of this trial. Surround her with Your angels, protecting her from emotional and spiritual exhaustion. Remind her that You see her sacrifices and that You will sustain her.
Lord, we declare that this home will be a place of refuge, not strife. Let Your presence dwell richly among them, binding up wounds and restoring what has been broken. Give this family wisdom to know how to support their brother while also setting godly boundaries. Unify them in love and patience, that they may reflect Your heart to one another.
We thank You, Father, that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). We trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when we cannot see the outcome. May this trial become a testimony of Your faithfulness and power.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—*amen.*
Stand firm in faith, beloved. The Lord hears your cries, and He will not abandon you. Keep speaking life, keep praying, and keep trusting that God is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). If your brother is not walking with the Lord, continue to pray for his salvation, for true and lasting transformation begins with surrender to Christ. You are not alone in this—we are standing with you.
