Beloved of All
Please keep my family in your prayers. My ### has a very serious mental health condition that causes him to become confused, emotionally unstable, and at times aggressive. He often yells at our mother, who is elderly and already dealing with stress and illness. We ask for God’s peace to fill our home — for my ### to find healing, calm, and clarity… and for my mother to be protected, uplifted, and comforted. May God surround them with love and shield them from harm. May His Spirit bring stillness where there is chaos, and understanding where there is pain. In Jesus name.

We join with you in lifting up your family before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of all comfort and the great Physician who brings healing to broken bodies, minds, and spirits. Your heart for your loved ones is evident, and we stand with you in intercession, trusting in the power of Jesus’ name, which you have rightly invoked, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through faith in Christ alone that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful you have called upon Him.

The struggles your family is facing are heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to bring chaos, fear, and division. But we serve a God who is greater—One who brings peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and who promises to be near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Your family member’s condition is a deep trial, but we must remember that even in this, God is sovereign. His Word assures us that He works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). This does not mean the suffering is easy or that the path will be quick, but it does mean that God is present, and His purposes will prevail.

We also recognize the toll this is taking on your mother, who is elderly and already bearing the weight of illness and stress. The Lord sees her weariness, and He commands us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12). It is not His will for her to be subjected to aggression or disrespect, and we must pray for protection over her—both physically and emotionally. The Lord is her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May He surround her with His angels, grant her supernatural strength, and fill her with His peace that guards her heart and mind.

To your family member who is suffering, we pray for divine intervention. Mental illness is a complex battle, but we know that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). We ask the Lord to bring clarity to his mind, to calm the storms within him, and to heal the brokenness that fuels his confusion and aggression. May the Holy Spirit convict him of any sin that may be contributing to his turmoil, whether it be unrepentance, bitterness, or rebellion, and lead him to surrender fully to Christ. If there are any strongholds of the enemy at work, we rebuke them in the name of Jesus and declare that this mind and this home belong to the Lord. We pray for wisdom for those providing medical and emotional care, that they may be guided by God’s hand to the right treatments and support.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support for your family. You do not have to walk this path alone. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be brothers and sisters in your local church who can come alongside you with prayer, practical help, or wisdom. If your family member is open to it, pastoral counseling or biblical discipleship could be a vital part of his healing journey. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, and it has the power to transform minds and hearts (Hebrews 4:12). Encourage him to immerse himself in Scripture and to seek the Lord earnestly.

Lastly, we urge you to guard your own heart in this season. It is easy to become overwhelmed, bitter, or fearful when facing such trials, but the Lord calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Spend time in His presence daily, allowing His truth to renew your mind and His peace to sustain you. Remember that even in the valley, He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this family to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God who heals, who restores, and who brings order out of chaos. We ask for Your mighty hand to move in this situation. Touch the mind of this beloved family member who is suffering. Bring healing to his thoughts, Lord—calm the storms within him and replace confusion with Your clarity, aggression with Your gentleness, and instability with Your steadfast peace. Father, we know that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20), and so we trust You to work in ways we cannot see.

Lord, we pray for protection over their mother. Shield her from harm, both physically and emotionally. Strengthen her body, renew her spirit, and fill her with Your joy, which is her strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in tangible ways. Comfort her in her distress and remind her that You are her ever-present help.

We also ask for unity and love to abound in this home. Where there has been strife, bring reconciliation. Where there has been fear, bring faith. Where there has been weariness, bring refreshment. Lord, let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Guide them to the support and resources they need, and raise up godly people to come alongside them.

Father, we rebuke the enemy’s schemes in this family. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that this home belongs to You, and we ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Lastly, Lord, we pray for salvation and surrender in the life of this family member if he does not yet know You fully. Draw him to Yourself, Father. Let him experience Your love in such a profound way that he turns to You with all his heart. And for each member of this family, deepen their trust in You. Remind them that You are their strength, their hope, and their deliverer.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your power, and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in this family’s life, and may Your name be glorified through their story. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting your family before the Lord in these past days. Your heartfelt request has weighed heavily on our spirits, and we have continued to seek God’s mercy, peace, and healing for your loved one and your dear mother. The burden of mental illness and the toll it takes on a family is not unseen by our Heavenly Father—He collects every tear, hears every cry for help, and is near to the brokenhearted.

We earnestly prayed for your family member to experience the touch of Jesus, who calms the storms within the mind and brings clarity where there is confusion. We asked the Lord to wrap your mother in His protective arms, strengthening her body, renewing her spirit, and shielding her from the weight of fear or exhaustion. And we pleaded for God’s peace—which surpasses all understanding—to guard your home, turning chaos into quiet trust in His sovereignty.

If the Lord has moved in your situation, whether through moments of calm, a breakthrough in treatment, or a renewed sense of His presence, we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Even the smallest glimpses of His grace are worth celebrating together. If the struggle persists, though, we want you to know we are still here, ready to stand with you in the gap. Please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request—we will not grow weary in praying for you, just as our Savior never grows weary in pursuing your family with His love.

May you feel the nearness of God in these days, even when the answers seem distant. May His Word be a lamp to your feet and His Spirit a comfort to your soul as you lean on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. We are holding fast to the promise that He is working all things together for good, even in the midst of this trial. You are not forgotten, and your family is not abandoned—He is faithful.
