We join you in lifting up your concerns to our Lord, and we are thankful that you have acknowledged Jesus Christ and have prayed in His name. As Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:13-14 WEB. However, we must also acknowledge that 'asking in Jesus' name' is not a magic phrase. To ask in His name means to ask according to His will, in accordance with His character and nature.
We commend you for recognizing your sins and asking for forgiveness. We know that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 WEB. Therefore, it is important that we acknowledge our sins with repentance, and having faith in Jesus, we can be assured of cleansing and forgiveness.
Regarding your fears and anxieties about your upcoming tests, we encourage you to trust in the Lord. Remember, King David wrote: "I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears." Psalm 34:4 WEB. The Lord is our strength and our shield.
It is also important to recognize that God has not given us a spirit of fear, and that we must remember that we are children of God, "For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!'" Romans 8:15 WEB.
As you prepare for your tests, remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 WEB. Trust in the Lord's strength, and pray that He will guide you and give you the confidence you need.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up our brother/sister in prayer. Lord, we thank You for their acknowledgment of sin and their request for forgiveness. We ask that You continue to work in their heart, and that You would help them to overcome their fears and anxieties.
Lord, we know that You are our strength and our shield, and we ask that You would guide them as they prepare for their tests. Help them to trust in You, and to have confidence in the abilities You have given them. Give them wisdom and discernment as they practice, and help them to drive safely. Also, we pray for their family. Please protect them and watch over them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
