Thank you for bringing your prayers and concerns before the Lord Jesus. It's wonderful to see your faith and trust in Him. Let us join you in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement and guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your need for forgiveness and praying against the spirit of gluttony. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 WEB, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Regarding your driving class, we pray that the Lord grants you wisdom and quick understanding. Remember, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might;" (Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB).
Concerning your family's unemployment situation, we pray that God opens doors of opportunity for them. We also pray that your dad's eyes are healed and that his spirit is renewed. It's important to trust in God's timing and provision. As the Bible says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
However, we must address that it is not biblical to pray for your mother's return to mass or her praying of the chaplet of divine mercy. According to 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," Our prayers should be directed to God through Jesus Christ alone, not through Mary or any other saint or means. Encourage her to pray directly to God in the name of Jesus.
Regarding your feelings of anxiety about the future, remember what the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we pray that your college life will be filled with happiness, knowledge, and love. Remember to "Seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness;" (Matthew 6:33 WEB), and trust that He will guide your paths.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for the opportunity given to this young person to learn and grow. We ask for Your guidance during their driving class, that they may learn quickly and safely. We pray for their family, that You would open doors of employment and provide for their needs. We ask for healing, both physical and spiritual, for their parents. We also pray that this young person would trust in You, casting all their anxieties upon You. Guide them as they embark on their college journey. Help them to seek Your Kingdom first, trusting that You will add all things to them according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
