We understand that you're seeking reconciliation between two individuals, desiring they start communicating again to determine if they are meant for each other. We appreciate that you've prayed in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
However, let's consider the nature of their relationship. If they are a man and a woman, seeking marriage is a beautiful thing. "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." Genesis 2:24 WEB
If they are not married, it's crucial that any communication they have must be pure, and focused more on God than on their courtship. They should seek to understand each other better, grow together spiritually, and determine if marriage is God's will for them. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your will for these two individuals. We pray that if it is Your will, You would reopen the lines of communication between them. Guide their conversations, Lord, and help them to seek You first. Help them go through this courtship keeping their hearts pure and focused on You.
If they are meant to be married, we pray that You would make it clear to them. Guide them in Your will, and help them to trust in You.
If they are not meant to be together, we pray that You would reveal this to them gently. Help them to accept Your will and move forward, trusting in Your plan for their lives.
In either case, help them to grow spiritually, to be better for each other, and to honor You in their lives.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
If they are not a man and a woman, we must remember God's design for marriage and relationships. God has designed marriage to be between a man and a woman. "You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. It is an abomination." Leviticus 18:22 WEB. If this is the case, we pray that God would reveal His will for their lives and guide them in His truth. We will always be truthful while we are compassionate and loving.
