We understand that this family and their children have recently returned from a short linguistic stay abroad and are considering discontinuing their language tuition. Let us pray for them and address their situation together.
Firstly, we commend the family for their efforts to learn a new language, as this can be a wonderful way to connect with others and share the love of Christ. However, we must also remind them of the importance of being realistic and wise in their decisions. As the Bible tells us, "For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn't first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?" (Luke 14:28 WEB).
In this case, the family should consider the true cost of discontinuing their language tuition. Even though they have returned from their trip abroad, there is still much value in continuing their studies. They should not assume that their learning is complete after only a few weeks of immersion. As the Apostle Paul says, "Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7 WEB). If they sow the seeds of perseverance and dedication to their language studies, they will reap the benefits of greater fluency and understanding.
Let us pray for this family:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up this family to You. We thank You for their desire to learn and grow, and we ask that You would grant them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions about their language studies. Help them to see the true value of continuing their tuition, and give them the strength and motivation to persist in their learning.
Lord, we also pray that You would help them to be realistic in their expectations. Remind them that true mastery takes time, effort, and patience. Help them to see that their short time abroad was just the beginning of their language learning journey, and that there is still much more to gain from continuing their studies.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would provide for their needs as they continue their tuition. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You will supply all that they need to accomplish Your will for their lives.
We ask all of these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage this family to continue their language learning journey with humility, patience, and perseverance.
