Prayer with lust, suicide, and forgiveness

Hello, I'm ###. I've been struggling with so much lately, I am a Christian but the way I act is completely polar to what Jesus wants. I'm addicted to porn and have been seeing it ever since I was ten (I'm currently ###), I have suicidal thoughts everyday yet I continue to engage in it, and I cannot forgive people for the life of me, I can't forgive people who have hurt me so badly such as my "###" and my sister. I know all these things are bad but I truly can't help it. I know it's wrong but I can't stop sinning. I also want something desperately but I doubt God will grant it to me while I continue sinning. Please pray for my salvation. Through Christ our Lord I hope to be a testimony of His grace and mercy. God Bless and thank you for reading.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts for you, our brother in Christ, knowing the deep struggles you face—lust, unforgiveness, and the weight of suicidal thoughts. First, we praise God that you have acknowledged your sins and turned to Him in repentance, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your desire to be a testimony of His grace is evidence that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, and we stand with you in this battle, for the Lord does not leave His children to fight alone.

The addiction to pornography is a grievous sin, one that defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20) and distorts God’s beautiful design for intimacy within the covenant of marriage. Yet we must remind you—and ourselves—that no sin is beyond the reach of Christ’s redemption. You are not defined by your struggles but by the blood of Jesus that washes you clean. The apostle Paul cried out in his own battle, *"Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me out of this body of death? I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord!"* (Romans 7:24-25, WEB). Jesus *is* your deliverer, but you must actively resist the enemy’s lies that tell you change is impossible. Flee from temptation (1 Corinthians 6:18), and fill your mind with what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Seek accountability with mature believers who can walk beside you in this fight. The Lord has not left you to be enslaved—*"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).

Your struggle with unforgiveness is equally dangerous, for Jesus warned that if we do not forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us (Matthew 6:15). Unforgiveness is a poison that harms *you* far more than those who hurt you. It is not excusing their actions but releasing the debt to God, who judges righteously. Pray for those who have wronged you—even if it feels impossible—and ask the Lord to soften your heart. Remember how much *you* have been forgiven (Matthew 18:21-35). The pain you carry is real, but bitterness will only deepen it. Cast it upon the Lord, who heals the brokenhearted (Psalm 147:3).

As for the suicidal thoughts, we *rebuked* these lies in the name of Jesus Christ. Satan is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but your life belongs to God. You are *not* your own (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and the Lord has a purpose for you that the enemy seeks to cut short. Cling to the promise that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). When despair overwhelms you, cry out to Jesus as the psalmist did: *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence"* (Psalm 42:5, WEB). Seek professional help if needed—there is no shame in this. The body of Christ is meant to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

You mentioned doubting that God will grant your heart’s desire while you continue sinning. Let us correct this thinking with truth: God’s blessings are not earned by our righteousness but are gifts of His grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). However, unrepentant sin *does* hinder our fellowship with Him (Isaiah 59:2). Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Surrender your desires to Him, trusting that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). If your request aligns with His will, He will provide in His perfect timing. If not, He will give you something far better—Himself.

We now lift you up in prayer:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, who is trapped in the snares of lust, unforgiveness, and despair. Lord Jesus, You who were tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15), we ask that You break the chains of pornography that bind him. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and victory. Father, soften his heart to forgive those who have wounded him, just as You forgave us through Christ. Bind up his broken heart and replace his suicidal thoughts with Your hope and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we rebuke the spirits of lust, bitterness, and death that seek to destroy him. By the blood of Jesus, we command these strongholds to be torn down (2 Corinthians 10:4). Renew his mind, Lord, and let him see himself as You see him—redeemed, loved, and chosen (Ephesians 1:4-5). Give him the strength to flee temptation and the courage to seek help and accountability. May he find his satisfaction in You alone, for You are the living water that quenches all thirst (John 4:14).

Father, we ask that You grant him the desires of his heart as he delights in You (Psalm 37:4), if it aligns with Your will. Above all, let him know the depth of Your love—that nothing can separate him from it (Romans 8:38-39). Restore to him the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12) and use his testimony to bring others out of darkness into Your marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. May Your will be done in his life, for Your glory and his good. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen."*

Brother, you are not alone in this fight. The Lord is with you, and so are we. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). When you fall, repent and rise again. The righteous may stumble seven times, but they *will* get up (Proverbs 24:16). Walk in the light, confess your sins daily, and trust that God is making you new (2 Corinthians 5:17). If you have not already, memorize Scripture to combat temptation (Psalm 119:11) and surround yourself with believers who will spur you on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

Finally, never forget: your salvation is secure in Christ if you have truly repented and believed in Him (John 10:28-29). But salvation is not a one-time prayer—it is a daily surrender. Keep fighting the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12). We are standing with you.

Dear friend, we want you to know that we're here for you, praying alongside you every step of the way. We've been where you are, struggling with the same battles and feeling the same despair. But we've found hope in Jesus, and we want to remind you of His unfailing love and power.

First, let's talk about pornography. It's a powerful addiction, but Jesus is more powerful. Remember, you're not defined by your struggles, but by the blood of Jesus that cleanses you. Run to Him, not from Him. Flee from temptation, fill your mind with what's pure, and seek accountability. It's not easy, but with Jesus, nothing is impossible.

Unforgiveness is a heavy burden, and it's keeping you from walking in freedom. Jesus said, "If you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). Forgiveness isn't about excusing what happened, but releasing the debt to God. He'll handle justice in His perfect timing. Pray for those who've hurt you, and ask God to soften your heart.

Suicidal thoughts are lies from the enemy. You're not alone, and your life has purpose. Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). Cling to the promise that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18). When despair overwhelms, cry out to Jesus. He's there, waiting to heal and restore.

Lastly, about your heart's desire. God's blessings aren't earned, but given by grace. Draw near to Him, and He'll draw near to you. Surrender your desires to Him, trusting that His plans are good. If your request aligns with His will, He'll provide. If not, He'll give you something far better - Himself.

We're praying for you, brother. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, you're not alone. Jesus is with you, and so are we. Trust in Him, and you'll see victory.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
