prayer to remove very powerful black magic

Disciple of Prayer
I am an ex-muslim who converted to Christianity about ### months ago. I have been going through a lot of spiritual warfare because of black magic done on me when I was in ###. I use anointed oil and water but the black magic is still resisting a lot. I normally use Psalms 51,91,35,18,140,144,23 and pray on the oil and water. Do I need to do something else to make it more potent.

We rejoice with you in your conversion to Christianity and your bold step of faith in leaving behind the false teachings of Islam to embrace the truth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior! The spiritual warfare you are experiencing is not uncommon for those who have come out of darkness into God’s marvelous light, and we stand with you in this battle. The enemy rages because he knows his time is short, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You are on the winning side, and through Christ, you have authority over every power of the enemy.

The black magic you describe is not more powerful than the blood of Jesus and the authority given to believers through His name. The psalms you are praying are indeed powerful, but we must remember that our ultimate weapon is the name of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every principality and power (Colossians 2:15). It is concerning that your prayer request did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the enemy. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet fully surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, no amount of anointed oil, water, or psalms will avail against the enemy’s schemes.

You mentioned using anointed oil and water, which can be tools of faith, but their power lies not in the substances themselves but in the name of Jesus and the Holy Spirit who works through them. James 5:14-15 tells us that the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up. The key here is *faith in Jesus*, not in the oil or the water. If you are relying on these elements as though they have inherent power apart from Christ, we gently rebuke this line of thinking, for it borders on superstition. Our trust must be in the Lord alone, not in rituals or objects. The oil and water are simply acts of obedience and faith, pointing us back to the One who holds all power.

Let us also address the fear that may be gripping your heart. Fear is a tool of the enemy to paralyze you, but *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). You must stand firm in the authority of Christ, resisting the devil so that he will flee from you (James 4:7). If you are feeling overwhelmed, it may be because you are engaging in this battle in your own strength. You need the full armor of God to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Are you daily putting on this armor? Are you immersing yourself in Scripture, not just the Psalms but the entire counsel of God’s Word? The enemy cannot stand against the spoken word of God, so we encourage you to declare Scripture aloud over your life, your home, and your circumstances.

Another critical aspect of spiritual warfare is repentance. Before you came to Christ, you were under the influence of false teachings and possibly involved in practices that opened doors to the enemy. Even now, are there areas of your life that are not fully surrendered to Christ? Are there sins you haven’t confessed or strongholds you haven’t renounced? *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). Submission to God means turning away from all sin and fully yielding to His lordship. If there are any unconfessed sins, idols, or ties to your past—including any lingering connections to Islam or occult practices—you must renounce them in the name of Jesus and cut them off completely. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, but we must walk in repentance and holiness.

We also encourage you to seek the support of mature believers. Spiritual warfare is not meant to be fought alone. *"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"* (Ecclesiastes 4:12, WEB). Do you have a local church or believers you can turn to for prayer and accountability? If not, we strongly urge you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be discipled and surrounded by fellow warriors in Christ. Isolation is dangerous in spiritual battles.

Now, let us pray together for your complete deliverance and victory in Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for calling our brother/sister out of darkness into Your glorious light and for the blood of Jesus that has cleansed them from all sin. Lord, we acknowledge that the battle they are facing is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. But we declare that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world!

Father, we ask that You expose every hidden work of darkness that has been waged against them. By the blood of Jesus, we break every curse, every spell, every hex, and every assignment of black magic that has been sent against them. We command every demonic stronghold to be torn down in the name of Jesus. We bind every spirit of fear, oppression, confusion, and torment, and we command them to leave now in Jesus’ name. Let every chain of the enemy be broken, and let the fire of the Holy Spirit consume every evil work that has been done against them.

Lord, we ask that You fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the power and authority of Christ. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them. Let them stand firm in the armor of God, unshaken by the enemy’s lies. Give them discernment to recognize the schemes of the devil and wisdom to walk in victory.

Father, we also ask that You surround them with godly believers who will stand with them in this battle. Lead them to a church where they can be nurtured, discipled, and covered in prayer. Let them not walk this path alone but be strengthened by the body of Christ.

We rebuke every spirit of fear and doubt that would try to creep into their heart. Let them know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are Your child, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We declare that every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask that You restore every area of their life that the enemy has tried to steal, kill, or destroy. Bring healing to their mind, body, and spirit. Let them walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for them on the cross. We declare that they are no longer bound by the past but are a new creation in Christ, old things have passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Father, we thank You that the battle belongs to You. We thank You that You have already given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. We praise You for Your faithfulness and Your power, which is at work in them even now. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding and Your joy that is their strength.

In the mighty and victorious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we leave you with this encouragement from Scripture: *"Don’t be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is among you, a great and awesome God. The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you little by little. You may not consume them at once, lest the animals of the field increase on you. But the Lord your God will deliver them before you, and will confuse them with a great confusion, until they are destroyed"* (Deuteronomy 7:21-23, WEB). Your deliverance may be a process, but the Lord is faithful. Keep standing, keep praying, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.

If you have not yet been baptized in water as a public declaration of your faith in Christ, we strongly encourage you to take this step. It is an act of obedience and a powerful testimony of your identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. *"Buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead"* (Colossians 2:12, WEB).

Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, and stay in fellowship with believers. The enemy may rage, but he cannot prevail against the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony (Revelation 12:11). You are victorious in Christ!

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and interceding for your complete deliverance. We're so glad you've found freedom in Christ, and we're cheering you on in your journey. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with these words:

"Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). This truth is our anchor, our shield, and our sword. The enemy may roar like a lion, but remember, he's a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But you, dear one, are clothed in the armor of God, and you have the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

We want to echo the prayers and encouragements shared earlier, but we also want to share a personal story. There was a time when one of us was going through a similar struggle. It felt overwhelming, and the enemy's lies were trying to drown out the truth. But we stood on God's Word, we claimed our authority in Christ, and we leaned into the body of Christ for support. It was a process, but we saw victory, and we know that you will too.

We want to remind you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is your refuge, your strength, and your shield. He is fighting for you, and He has already won the victory. You just need to walk in it.

We also want to encourage you to engage in spiritual warfare with the weapons God has given us. Ephesians 6:10-18 describes the full armor of God. Are you putting on this armor daily? Are you using the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, to fight against the enemy's schemes?

Lastly, we want to leave you with this promise: "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and you shall refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their vindication is from me, declares the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17).

Keep standing, keep fighting, and keep trusting. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). We're believing with you for your complete deliverance and victory in Jesus' name.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
