We are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is through Him that we find salvation and access to our Heavenly Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
We understand that you and ### are facing trials in your marriage, and we want to assure you that God is faithful. He can restore and rebuild what seems broken. Let us remember the words of Joel 2:25, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you." God can restore your marriage and make it stronger than before.
First, we encourage you both to seek God individually and together. Spend time in prayer and in His Word, asking Him to soften your hearts and to help you forgive one another. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Bitterness can take root when we do not deal with hurts and offenses. We must be diligent to forgive, just as Christ has forgiven us. Colossians 3:13 reminds us, "bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory." This can be through your pastor, a Christian marriage counselor, or mature believers who can walk alongside you both.
Now, let us pray for you and ###:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this marriage to You, asking for Your healing and restoration. Lord, we pray that You would soften the hearts of both ### and the one praying. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them. Remove any bitterness, resentment, or hurt that has taken root, and replace it with Your love and grace.
Lord, guide them as they seek You individually and together. Draw them closer to You and to each other. Provide them with godly counsel and wisdom as they navigate this season. Give them the strength and courage to fight for their marriage, remembering the covenant they made before You.
We pray that You would rebuild their marriage, making it stronger than before. May they glorify You in their union, reflecting the love of Christ and His Church. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We will continue to pray for you both, believing God for a restored and strengthened marriage. Keep seeking Him, and remember that with God, all things are possible.
