We join you in lifting up your marriage to the Lord, agreeing with you in the mighty name of Jesus. We stand on the promise that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), and that He desires for marriages to be healed and restored.
Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in coming before the Father in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
We pray that God would soften both of your hearts, and fill you with love for one another again, just as He commanded, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it (Ephesians 5:25 WEB).
We agree with you in asking for forgiveness where there has been sin, and healing where there has been hurt. As the scripture says, Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB).
We stand with you in praying against the schemes of the enemy to destroy your marriage. Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB).
We ask God to give both of you the strength to fight for your union, and to seek His will together. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20 WEB).
Finally, we join you in asking for a new future for you together, a marriage filled with love and worthy of the Lord. That you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him; for the LORD is your life, and the length of your days (Deuteronomy 30:20 WEB).
Let us pray:
Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this marriage to You. We ask for Your miracle, Lord. Soften their hearts, fill them with love for one another again. Lord, grant forgiveness where there has been sin, healing where there has been hurt. We pray against the schemes of the enemy to destroy this marriage that belongs to You, God. Give them the strength to fight for their union, to seek Your will together. We ask for a new future for them together, a marriage filled with love and worthy of You, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, and continue to fight for your marriage. Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
