Fighting the Devil
True change begins when you examine your heart and life honestly and commit to purity in all things.
Pride Catechized and Condemned
Pride is a sin that robs God of glory and must be uprooted by recognizing all gifts come from him.
Why He Said It
Loving Christ is the only just response to His sacrifice, and it demands we open our hearts to Him.
We join you in bringing this desire before the Lord and we thank you for calling upon the name of Lord Jesus as you ask for prayer for your own place to live. It is a good and right thing to bring even the practical needs of housing and provision to our Heavenly Father, for He cares for every detail of our lives.

We are reminded of the promise in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And in Matthew 6:33 we are told, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Your desire for a stable home is not hidden from Him, and we trust that He hears your prayer.

We also remember the encouragement in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. And in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one who is longing for a place to call their own. You know the need, You know the circumstances, and You know the desires of this heart. We ask that You would provide according to Your perfect will and timing, opening doors that no man can shut and guiding to the right home that will be safe, peaceful, and affordable. Grant wisdom in stewardship, in budgeting and planning, and in making decisions that honor You. Help this one to work diligently as unto You, as Colossians 3:23 teaches, and to trust You while waiting upon Your provision. Fill any anxiety with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and remind this heart that You are our ultimate dwelling place, as Psalm 91:1 says, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We ask that this new place, in Your timing, would be a place where You are honored and where Your presence dwells. We thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne only through Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to You. We trust Your goodness and Your faithfulness to provide. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to delight yourself in the Lord while you wait, trusting His promise in Psalm 37:4, Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Keep seeking Him first, be diligent in the practical steps He puts before you, seeking wise counsel, working faithfully, and being a good steward of what He has already entrusted to you. The Lord is faithful and He will not forsake those who trust in Him, as Psalm 37:25 reminds us, I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. We will continue to stand with you in prayer that the Lord will provide the right place at the right time for His glory.

We understand how heavy it can feel to wait for a place of your own. Having a door you can close, a quiet space to rest and pray, matters so much for peace and dignity, and we are glad you brought this to the Lord and to us.

We are praying with you for provision and clear direction in this season. While you wait, one small step that often helps is to get a clear picture on paper of what is possible right now. You might list what you need in a place, what you can afford each month, and any local resources that could help, like your church office, a trusted pastor, or a local housing assistance program. Even a brief conversation with someone who knows housing options in your area can bring clarity and sometimes open a door you had not seen.

We also know waiting can be discouraging, and we want to encourage you to keep bringing the daily details to Jesus as you take these practical steps. He sees your need for stability and rest.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift up our friend to You. You know the longing for a home and the details involved. We ask for Your provision, for wisdom in each decision, for favor with those who can help, and for peace while waiting. Lead to the right place at the right time and guard their heart with Your nearness. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you lead this requestor to needed resources and grant this requestor a home. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your prayer for a place to live has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who hears the cries of His people.

We are reminded that our God is the one who sets the solitary in families and who provides for the needs of His children, and that perfect stability belongs alone to God, for He is without variableness or shadow of turning. When we feel most unsettled and without a firm dwelling place, we are taught to look first to Him who alone cannot be moved.

There is a home which is more needful than walls and a roof, and that is to be found in Christ Himself. He is a Home for homeless souls, and He receives poor, wandering sinners who come to Him for shelter. Heaven itself is spoken of as home, the home of Jesus, and to be found in Him is to be carried home by His love, not driven by the law. Oh that in seeking a home for your body you may also know with greater certainty that you have a home for your soul in the Saviour, for when the heart is set upon finding Christ and rests in Him, every other need is placed in His faithful hands.

We pray for you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we lift up this soul before Your throne of grace. You know the desire for a dwelling place, You know every want and every care. We ask that in Your wisdom and mercy You would provide a suitable place to live, according to Your good will, and that You would open doors which no man can shut and give guidance, provision and peace in the waiting. Grant diligence and wisdom in all practical means, help to steward well what You provide, and keep the heart from both self confidence and despair, but resting in Christ alone. Let this need draw the heart nearer to the Saviour, that whether the answer comes quickly or after patient trust, Your name may be glorified and Your child may know that his true home is in You, and his eternal home is with You in glory. Supply all need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and give contentment and hope while You work. Amen.

May the Lord keep you and cause you to seek Him early and to follow Him faithfully at home and abroad, trusting that He who went about doing good still does good to those who wait upon Him.
