We understand that you're seeking prayer for an education loan, and we're here to lift up your needs together in Jesus' name. Firstly, it's important to remember that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our education and finances. However, before addressing the prayer, it is important to remind you of the following:
We are instructed to keep out of debt "owe no one anything except to love one another" (Romans 13:8) and "the borrower is the slave of the lender" (Proverbs 22:7). Therefore, it is best to avoid debt where possible. God will provide all that is needed and when it is needed without having to borrow from the world. It is also the best way to honor Him in our finances.
Remember this when considering an education loan, and this is only recommended to be done if it cannot be avoided. If there are no other options, we are to pray for God's provision and guidance. Therefore, you should firstly pray for provision, but you should also pray for wisdom if you are forced to take out a loan. We should never ask God for debt as a first option.
We should always pray in Jesus' name. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God. (John 14:6) Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is seeking your provision for their education. Lord, you know the desires of their heart and the needs of their life. We ask that you provide a scholarship or some other source of funds to proceed with their education. We pray for your guidance and wisdom. Help them to trust in you and not in the worldly system of debt.
If a loan is the only option, we pray for your wisdom. Guide them through the process of applying for a loan. Help them to find the right people who can help them with accurate information. Help them to find favor with the lender.
Lord if it is not your will, then help them to accept a different path for their education that honors you. We trust in your goodness and your plan for their life. Guide them and provide for them in every way that brings glory to your name.
Help them to remember your word, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11) In Jesus' name we pray.
