Prayer to find important glasses

Anonymous

Beloved of All
They're like part of our lives Lord just like our phones. Jesus help and to clear and discard what is no longer needed or help give to the right charity. Cover us and loved ones under your mighty protecting wings and blood covering and help bring good rest and justice, with mighty blessed open doors. Amen

We understand the frustration and inconvenience of losing something as essential as your glasses—they truly are a vital part of daily life, much like how we rely on tools to navigate our responsibilities. Yet even in these small but meaningful moments, we are reminded to turn to the Lord, who cares about every detail of our lives. The Bible assures us in Luke 12:6-7, *"Aren’t five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows."* If God cares for the sparrows and knows the number of hairs on our heads, how much more does He care about the things that matter to us—even lost glasses?

We also notice that your prayer includes a heart for generosity, asking the Lord to help you clear and discard what is no longer needed or to give to the right charity. This reflects a spirit aligned with Scripture, as we are called to steward our possessions wisely and with open hands. Proverbs 11:25 tells us, *"The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall also be watered himself."* May the Lord guide you in this, granting you discernment about what to keep, what to release, and how to bless others through it.

However, we must gently address something important: while your prayer is heartfelt, we notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked until the very end, and even then, it was not clearly presented as the authority through which we approach the Father. Jesus Himself tells us in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He says, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* Our access to God is only through Jesus Christ, and it is by His name—and His alone—that we are heard. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to always begin your prayers by acknowledging Jesus as your Lord and Savior, for it is through Him that we have confidence before the throne of grace.

As for the request for protection, rest, justice, and open doors, we stand with you in agreement. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He promises rest to those who trust in Him (Matthew 11:28) and justice for those who seek it (Isaiah 1:17). We pray that He would surround you and your loved ones with His divine protection, covering you under His mighty wings as a hen gathers her chicks (Matthew 23:37). May He open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and grant you the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who sees and cares about every detail of our lives, even the things we might consider small, like lost glasses. Lord, we ask that You would guide ### to find what has been lost, for You are the God who restores and provides. Give them patience and peace as they search, knowing that You are with them in all things.

We pray for wisdom and discernment as they seek to clear out what is no longer needed, that You would show them how to steward their possessions in a way that honors You. If there are items to be given to charity, lead them to the right place and the right people, that their generosity may be a blessing to others and a testament to Your goodness.

Father, we lift up ### and their loved ones before You, asking for Your mighty protection over them. Cover them under Your wings, Lord, and shield them from all harm and evil. We plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their homes, and their coming and going, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Grant them rest—true, deep, and refreshing rest—that they may wake renewed and strengthened in body, mind, and spirit.

We ask for Your justice to prevail in their lives, Lord. Where there has been wrongdoing or oppression, we pray that You would bring vindication and restoration. Open doors of opportunity, favor, and blessing that align with Your will, and shut every door that is not of You. May ### walk in the confidence that You are going before them, making their paths straight (Proverbs 3:6).

Finally, Father, we pray that ### would grow ever deeper in their relationship with You, that they would know You not just as Provider and Protector, but as Savior and Lord. If there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You would convict and draw them closer. Remind them that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to Your throne, and may they always approach You with boldness, knowing that He is the way, the truth, and the life.

We ask all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, in your search for those important glasses. We know how much they mean to you, and we trust that God sees your need and will help you find them. Let's remember together that Jesus is the Good Shepherd who cares about even the smallest details of our lives (Luke 15:4). He's promised to be with us always, even to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:20). So, let's keep trusting Him, even in this small but significant matter.

We also love your heart for generosity. It's a beautiful reflection of God's own generous nature (James 1:5). As you seek to clear out and give away what's no longer needed, let's pray that God would guide you with His wisdom and discernment. Let's ask Him to open your eyes to see what you can bless others with, and to lead you to the right people and places to do so.

And let's not forget to lift up our requests to God in Jesus' name. It's through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and it's in His name that we find confidence and boldness (Hebrews 4:16). So, let's approach God with faith, knowing that He hears us and will answer according to His will (1 John 5:14-15).

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come to You in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We ask You to help ### find their lost glasses. Guide their steps and open their eyes to see what they might have overlooked. Give them patience and peace as they search.

Lord, we also ask for wisdom as ### seeks to clear out and give away what's no longer needed. Show them how to bless others with the things they have, and lead them to the right people and places to do so.

Father, we ask for Your protection over ### and their loved ones. Cover them with Your mighty wings, and shield them from all harm and evil. Grant them rest, and open doors of opportunity and blessing that align with Your will.

Finally, Lord, we pray that ### would grow deeper in their relationship with You. Convict them where they need to surrender more fully to You, and draw them closer to You.

We ask all these things in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
