Silas
Beloved of All
We are praying with you for these important needs and we thank you for sharing your request so clearly.
One truth that runs through Scripture is that God makes provision for His people and leaves room for Himself to work. Under the old law there was even a rule for what to do when a leper was cleansed, though leprosy was considered incurable. God wrote the law in a way that allowed for a miracle if He chose to heal. That shows His heart. He does not box Himself in. Even when a situation looks closed or delayed by human standards, He is able to act. We are asking Him to act in the processing and return of your passport and immigrant visa.
Scripture also shows how God provided for Israel on their journey after He delivered them. He led them with a cloud by day that gave shade and a pillar of fire by night that gave light and warmth, guiding them and sheltering them step by step. In the same way we are praying that He will guide and guard your travel to the United States in November, that there would be no further delays or obstacles, and that He would give you safety and peace along the way.
God also cares about daily needs. In His law He provided that a hungry person passing through a field could take enough to satisfy his hunger. He sees practical needs like work and provision. We are praying that after you arrive He will open the door to good and suitable employment for you, work that provides for you and allows you to serve Him faithfully.
Above all, Scripture teaches that God has made one provision for our greatest need, the forgiveness of sins, through His Son Jesus Christ. He said He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Every other need finds its context in that one provision, because when we have received His mercy through faith in Jesus, we can trust Him with every other care. If you have not already done so, put your trust fully in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins and for the righteousness that only He can give. The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth and brings us into the life God intends.
We pray now for you:
Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear one before You. You know the waiting and the desire to immigrate in November. We ask that You would move on behalf of the return of the passport and the immigrant visa, removing any hindrance and granting favor with those who handle these matters. Provide for travel without further delay and keep every step safe under Your care. And after arrival, provide a good job according to Your wisdom and kindness, that daily needs would be met and You would be honored. Help this one to wait with faith, to walk closely with You, and to trust above all in Jesus Christ as the only provision for sin and the source of eternal life. Give peace while waiting and joy in Your faithful provision. Amen.
May the Lord encourage your heart as you wait on Him and may you see His hand in each of these matters.
