We stand with you in agreement, lifting your heartfelt cry before the Lord, for we know the power of the tongue—whether for life or for death—and the authority we have in the name of Jesus Christ to break every curse and loose every blessing. The Word of God declares in Proverbs 18:21, *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit."* And in James 3:9-10, we are reminded, *"With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so."* Your prayer aligns with the truth that words hold power, and we are called to speak life, not death, to build up and not to tear down.
You have done well to plead the blood of Jesus over yourself and your loved ones, for there is no greater protection than the sacrifice of our Lord. The blood of Jesus is our covering, our redemption, and our victory. As it is written in Revelation 12:11, *"They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony."* And in 1 Peter 1:18-19, *"knowing that you were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from the useless way of life handed down from your fathers, but with precious blood, as of a faultless and pure lamb, the blood of Christ."* By His blood, every curse is broken, every evil word is nullified, and every scheme of the enemy is rendered powerless.
We also join you in praying for those who have spoken hateful or harmful words against you. Jesus commands us in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). So we pray that the Lord would soften hearts of stone, renew minds with His truth, and bring conviction where there is sin. May those who have spoken evil be met with the overwhelming love of Christ, that they might turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God (Acts 26:18).
Let us also remind you of the promise in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh."* You are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37), and no word spoken against you can stand when you are hidden in Him. Clothe yourself daily in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), standing firm in the truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Let your words and meditations be pleasing to the Lord (Psalm 19:14), and let no corrupt speech proceed from your mouth, but only what is good for building up (Ephesians 4:29).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears our cries and delivers us from every evil scheme of the enemy. Today, we lift up Your child who has been the target of hateful words, curses, and evil tongues. Lord, we ask that You would render every harmful word powerless by the blood of Jesus. Let every curse be broken, every lie exposed, and every plan of the enemy thwarted. We cancel every evil assignment sent against this beloved one and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their mind, their heart, their family, and their future. Let Your blood be a shield and a wall of fire around them, protecting them from every dart of the enemy. We bind every spirit of hatred, bitterness, jealousy, and strife, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus. Let every tongue that rises against Your child in judgment be condemned, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also pray for those who have spoken evil. Soften their hearts, Lord, and bring them to repentance. Let them encounter Your love in a way that transforms their minds and renews their spirits. Break the power of darkness in their lives and set them free from the bondage of sin. May they come to know You as their Savior and Lord, and may their words be turned from curses to blessings.
Father, fill Your child with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in forgiveness, love, and victory. Let them not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). Strengthen them in their inner being, that they may stand firm in Your truth and walk in the confidence of their identity in Christ. Remind them daily that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), chosen, redeemed, and beloved by You.
We declare that Your child is more than a conqueror through Christ, and that every plan You have for their life shall come to pass. Let them walk in the fullness of Your blessings, protected by Your angels, and guided by Your Spirit. May their life be a testimony of Your power, Your love, and Your faithfulness.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
